Never heard of that last one? Ellagic acid is a naturally produced acid found in berries that naturally brightens skin without impacting cell DNA, and it protects against UV rays, collagen degeneration and bacterial pathogens. It's one to look out for! The essence itself is made with 80% naturally fermented ingredients, including a derivative of fermented sake that clarifies the look of pores, as well as niacinamide and polyglutamic acid to boost moisture levels and reveal a radiant, even tone. A potent cocktail of antioxidant-rich red algae and berries (read: black chokeberry, a superfood with one of the highest recorded antioxidant levels) work to unveil a luminous complexion.

Really nice essence
Firstly, I have to start out with my main issue with this essence...it is too expensive for what it is and that's why it doesn't get 5 stars. It's in beautiful packaging, the product itself is hydrating, not too light or too rich and it's the colour of cranberry juice. It has no heavy fragrance and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. I really love the product and despite the heavy price tag, I will more than likely repurchase as I feel I do benefit from it in my routine. I have very dry skin, I am a tretinoin user and I use the Kbeauty methods so I use 3/4 toners, layering them one after the other and this has been fine to use with all other products.

Best essence ever
So glad this is back in stock. This stuff is liquid gold. It is packed full of amazing ingredients. Feels so nice and light on the skin, sinks in and leaves my skin dewy and hydrated. A little goes a long way so the bottle will last ages. And it has a lovely subtle natural scent. Also the packaging is so pretty. Can't live without it!

Didn’t see much difference
I used the full bottle and didn’t see a huge difference in my skin, it was hydrating and didn’t break me out but I expected to see more of a difference for the amount of time I used it.Â
