A flexible gel that keeps hair in place while giving it room to breathe, the Curl Gel does that and then some by nourishing hair with a wealth of hydrating ingredients.
As with all PATTERN hair care, the Curl Gel is free of SLS/SLES, parabens, formaldehyde... the list goes on. Instead, it infuses a blend of aloe vera, coconut oil and cacay oil to fortify and hydrate hair, so your strands are just as healthy on the inside as they are on the outside. Perfect for wash 'n' go styles, braids and twist outs, this medium hold formula has just the right amount of slippage to evenly distribute the gel and coat each strand. The result? Defined, bouncy, touchable curls that last.
Apply on wet hair for wash and gos, braids & twist-outs or on damp or dry hair for slick looks.

More of a leave-in conditioner
I bought all of the Pattern products to see which worked best for my hair. This is little different from their leave-in conditioner, except a bit creamier in texture and it has a bit more hold. I have 2A, 2B, and 2C waves, and while it gave my waves a soft hold and definition when I used a lot on, for my hair type it felt more like a leave-in conditioner than any styling product with definite hold. I think it might work better for curlier hair types, but not as much for wavy hair.

Good for 4C coily hair
This gel is more a a cream but still holds curls and doesn’t leave any white flakes!  A little pricy but worth it in my opinion.

I love other products from this brand but I found the gel too heavy for my 3b south asian wavy hair

I was sceptical
After trying gel after gel, different brands, combined with different leave-in conditioners and curl revivers, I think I've finally found the one for me. I didn't trust that it would successfully do the job of a conditioner AND a gel but I gave it a shot and it's giving. My hair is a 2C at the roots, 3A from mid to end and is looooong, almost waist length with shrinkage. I can see how this product wouldn't hold up for thicker, tighter curls but for fine-medium coarseness and a lightweight moisturising hold that retains curls overnight with minimum frizz, this is perfect.

The gel is ok but not worth the price
This gel is ok but I don’t think it’s worth the price point and I think there are better hold gels out there on the market. I have thick frizzy curly hair (3C) and this doesn’t really provide much gold which is the main thing I’m looking for in a gel. The gel doesn’t leave your feeling dry or crisp but it just doesn’t really hold my curls so to me for the price this gel just isn’t worth it.Â
