Hit & Miss

This pure Lascorbc acid, I tried the 10% one that's suspended in magnesium & got amazing results so braved myself for this & gave it a try. Lot of people have polarised opinions on this, some hate it because of how they're skin reacted to it & the other side loved it. That's the key here, it is a very good product but may or may not suit you. I have extremely sensitive, easily irritated, prone to redness skin, but because I loved the magnesium one I thought let's try. I was going to ease into it, use once a week only & they maybe, maybe twice a week. It didn't cause me immediate harm as I was careful but it didn't work for me the way the one suspended in magnesium did (boy that was phenomenal), but rather long term I realised I have darkened. What actually happened was it was too harsh for my sensitive skin, it reddened me ( almost maroon over a period of time) thus it seemed like I darkened. So do I recommend it, yes because the product isn't bad, it's how your skin will take to it, if it ends up suiting you'll get phenomenal results & vice versa. To be on the safer side try the one suspended in magnesium or the serum that has Alpha Arbutin too. I have spoken in detail about what are actives & what they do on my igtv channel @hajanders & spoken about The Ordinary's products too in length. Do check it out to learn more. Thank You.

Don’t bother

If there was ever a product I disliked it would be this. I tried giving it a go a few times but I kept having the same issue with it crumbling and leaving this awful residue on my skin.

Not a fan

I love the Ordinary products but I couldn’t deal with the texture here. The HA spheres felt like gritty bits on my skin and I hated it. Might get some use using this on my legs but definitely won’t continue use on my face due to the texture.

A key part of your routine

This product isn't an overnight wonder but after using it for a couple of months of using it, my complexion was more even and my skin was a bit brighter. It wasn't until I got lazy with my skincare and stopped using it that I realised how much if a difference it made to my complexion. It won't completely change your skin but it brings a significant amount of life back to my mid-30s skin.

Horrible product, avoid at all costs.

I have a lot of love for some of the Ordinary’s products but for this I have none. The texture is awful - it literally has bits in it that are meant to dissolve but often never do. The smell leaves something to be desired, and it leaves a stinging/burning sensation when applied. Not to mention the fact it doesn’t feel moisturising at all. I tried to find redeeming factors before leaving this review but was left without a single positive thing to say (minus how cheap it is).

Good value

For such a reasonable price this is a great vitamin c product, the texture however is very grainy, hence 1 star removed, but does offer a brightening effect to the skin.

Not for sensitive skin

I thought I would give this a go but my skin was too sensitive and it stung my skin a lot. It has a grainy texture to it as well.

Great product! The grainy texture took a while to get used to but all good one you do, great for my skin!

Vitamin c 23%

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love this, yes it's gritty and it tingles but that shows the high concentration of vitamin c, I use this in the morning after cleansing and rub gently on my face, it feels like it's exfoliating with the grainy bits but after a couple of minutes my skin feels really soft.

TO Vitamin C

I am 48 and have pigmentation on my chest, so this is what I bought this product for. It never stings, but it has a grainy texture which I think would bother me if I was applying it to my face. It does a good job of brightening, especially for the price
