Almost perfect
I was so shocked when I first applied this concealer and saw how brightening it was. It’s incredible for brightening and lifting your under eyes. It also blends out very nicely and you only need to use a small amount so will last a very long time. When I first used this concealer under my eyes I used quite a lot and it turned out very caky, so I would recommend only using a small dot. I also used it on my face to see how well it covered up acne. It did a decent job initially, but after finishing my makeup I realised it had oxidised and left big orange patches on my face. It had also oxidised under my eyes and looked quite orange. I am quite fair and cool toned (I used the shade silk) so this looked more obvious on me than it might on people with a darker or warm skin tone. I now just use this concealer under my eyes and set with translucent powder straight after which does the job and stops it oxidising. I use a different concealer on my face/ spots as it’s not amazing at covering them and still ends up making me look a bit orange even if I set it. It can also look quite caky and heavy on the skin and emphasise texture. But overall I would definitely recommend this concealer for brightening the under eyes but it’s not a must have. I’m sure there are other concealers available that also brighten the under eye and work on the face nicely too. But it’s the most brightening I’ve ever used.

GO TO CONCEALER
I was unsure about this concealer given its mixed reviews, but i’m almost at the end of my tube and i can safely say it’s my favourite - i use it every day for my under eyes and darker acne scars. It’s super creamy and buildable, blends easily and lasts all day. I think high coverage formulas sometimes take a bit more getting used to than products with lighter coverage. I will say that, as a thicker formula, i understand why people have issues with creasing under the eyes. My approach is: applying a little bit of concealer, blending it out, then waiting a few seconds going in with a second (clean) brush to buff out the excess product that has settled in the creases before applying setting powder to make sure any excess product is moved out of the creases - this extra step is so worth it to me because i haven’t found anything else that works as well at covering my dark circles. for acne scars i like to dot a bit of product over the discolouration, give it a few seconds to dry, and then pat gently with a dense concealer brush to soften out the edges, and then set with powder. The concealer layers well with most other products - ive used it with a range of skin tints, foundations, by itself, and I’ll use the excess to tidy up my blush/bronzer/ eye makeup if needed. I will say - if you like to layer setting spray in between makeup steps, spray after foundation but before concealer and let dry, and then don’t spray again until you’re done with powdering the concealer, as they don’t play well together.

I bought this based on it having a lot of fantastic reviews, I had recently used up my Kosas concealer and wanted to try something different - this is definitely a lot heavier/creamier and more difficult to work with. There is a chance I just haven’t mastered it yet but I think it may be too heavy for my under eye area (36 years old)

Covers Everything
When I first started using this, I made a change over from Laura Mercier's Flawless Fusion (why did they discontinue that!?) thought I would try this and originally didn't like it, but the more I use it the more I love it. It is creamy, leave it on for a few minutes and then blend creates better coverage over stubborn blemishes. Stays all day too and lasts forever! (And I wear makeup almost every day)
