These smooth floating plates have been designed with ghd’s advanced ceramic heat technology, allowing a consistent temperature of 185ºC to be maintained for optimal styling – cooler temperatures deliver poorer styling results while hotter ones can cause irreversible, unnecessary hair damage. The result? Smoother, healthier, frizz-free locks with salon-quality shine. The clever features don’t end there: a rounded barrel allows for effortless snag-free styling, particularly when creating curls, while a ultra-speedy 30 second heat up time makes it a godsend on rushed mornings. Before use, spritz your hair generously with heat protectant. We recommend ghd heat protect spray.
Once the Styler has heated, use it to straighten, curl or create waves.
Leave the Styler to cool, then fold the cord in the same way as it arrived in the original packaging. Where possible, avoid wrapping it around the body of the Styler or hanging it by the cord as this could cause damage.
The styler has a UK three-pin plug and is 68-75W.

Can’t believe I didn’t but this sooner
Bought this as a birthday gift for myself and I cannot believe I haven’t bought this before, I can actually have straight hair! No frizz makes my hair look so much longer compared to my old straighteners, the big barrel helps straighten hair a lot faster and with thick curly hair this is a god send!

Best straightners for thick hair
i’ve had thick frizzy hair all my life and it’s taken me hours to straighten my hair. Because the straighteners have a wider plate, than usuals ones they cut the time of straightening in half and have save me the rush in the morning. I’ve also noticed less heat damage compared to previous cheaper straighteners, they heat up very quickly and turn off after 30 minutes of not using them which is good for me as I am very forgetful.

Love styling my hair again!
So glad I decided to invest in this! The wide plate saves me a lot of time when doing my hair which is great as we all have those lazy days. With a good hair prep, my styled hair looks shiny and less damaged than when I use other straightener.

Best straightners
I have naturally, thick, frizzy hair that can be hard to manage, style and control. I got my first GHD's 15 years ago and they lasted nearly 10 years! Only had to make a re-purchase recently so they are definitely worth the investment!
