Everybody craves that tumbling, mermaid-worthy coiffé-decoiffé hair texture, and who knew achieving it could be so easy?

Jen Atkin's team of 'Mane Addicts' have put together super-simple steps to recreating perfect, beach-chic waves (no sea or sand required).

After washing your hair with your choice of OUAI {Shampoo} - we recommend the 'Clean' range to eliminate the build up that could weigh strands down - allow your hair to dry and draw a centre parting from forehead to nape.

Equip yourself with a curling wand - Cloud Nine's {Waving Wand} comes with a mineral-coated ceramic barrel and variable thermostat to style with barely any tress distress.

Tong small-ish sectioins of hair, twisting slightly as you release each section to create that slightly 'stringy' texture that's the perfect basis for your sexy, mussed-up look.

Once you're done, invert your head and mist liberally with OUAI's {Texturising Hair Spray} - described as the lovechild of hair spray and dry shampoo - to create just a hint of 'grit' and simulate that lived-in vibe.

Then finally, massage a blob of {Finishing Crème} between your palms and scrunch hair upwards from the ends to achieve tousled, 'French girl' texture.
