It’s good but not great
I was fed up of using my good foundation for work! HowEver I know I need some coverage as fresh faced me gets “are you feeling ok?”. I purchased this for the price point and good reviews. I will say it does apply lovely and gives good coverage without it completing masking your own skin. I’ve been using it daily for work and the first few hours it looks good. Unfortunately it just doesn’t have great staying power. I do have combination skin and I find it will bunch up in the dry areas and disappear in the oily areas. Therefore a little upkeep is necessary. I still think for the price and coverage it’s a good foundation it just needs a little finessing which is why 1 star is knocked off.
Report this reviewBest foundation I've ever used!
I thought I'd give this a try after spending alot more on utter nastiness and I'm blown away by how EXCELLENT this foundation is. Buy it, apply with fingers and BOOM you have great looking skin. Highly highly recommended.
Report this reviewOne of the best
It's a very good quality foundation for the price you pay for, skin like coverage, leaving it silky & smooth with a velvet finish 👌
Report this reviewAmazing
I'm evangelical about this foundation. I need a decent amount of coverage to even out my skin tone, but have found all other medium/high coverage foundations v cakey/heavy and 'obvious'. I find this is applied best with fingers, not a brush, and blends in beautifully, leaving a dewy (but not greasy) finish that looks very skin-like. There are a great range of shades, and I like you can choose whether you want a pink tone, neutral tone or yellow tone. I use 1.2N most of the year, and 1.2Y in summer when I have a light tan. I don't scrimp on skincare or makeup and would happily pay much more for a foundation I rated, but it must be said this is ridiculously good value. Only minor criticism is the bottle is not very attractive. I also wish they included a lid, rather than rely on a twist top mechanism to open/close the flow of product. It means the bottle can get a little smeary.
Report this reviewGood foundation
Easy application and great coverage, especially for the price. One of the best and cheapest foundations I’ve had and will definitely be buying again
Report this reviewI was suprised
I do like this foundation, however, I would say it is more light-medium coverage, not full coverage. It is extremely lightweight and blends beautifully into the skin. My skin looks even and feels smoother. It is semi-matte but does leave a lovely glow on the skin. I would recommend ensuring your skin is well hydrated before applying as this can sometimes cling to dry patches.

Very disappointed
I hate to leave a negative review for The Ordinary because I love the brand, I love the other products, but this did not work well for me. The product did not sit well on my skin. I applied using a brush. The colour was extremely pale. I am very pale and there was absolutely no depth to it at all. I’m used to picking the lightest colour but this was crazy. There was no lid for the foundation so as soon as you pump, you’re risking product getting on the packaging/in your make up bag.
Report this reviewLove this foundation
I’ve been looking for a decent everyday foundation and this is it! It gives an even look that matches my skin colour perfectly.
Report this reviewNot for oily skin
Don’t use this product if you have oily skin. This product was sliding off my skin within an hour after application. I tried using more setting powder and it just went patchy. When you first apply it, the coverage is good, so if you don’t have oily or combination skin, I expect it’s a nice product
Report this reviewGood dupe for me
I bought this hoping it would be a good dupe for the Glossier skin tint and for me I would say it's pretty good. It does highlight dry patches so exfoliating and moisturising is definitely needed. The shade I chose was a good match and at this price I don't begrudge buying a shade or two darker for summer.
