Mild retinol for beginner and sensitive skin type
The ordinary 0.2% retinol in squalane is excellent for beginners. My skin is typical combination, and while not overly sensitive, it has been known to purge while taking retinols or retinoids on occasion. Before using the 0.5%, I first used the Retinol 0.2% Squalane. I had to wait a little while for my skin to become used to this product, but it was well worth the wait. Since it's more of an oil, I just use it at night. Start using 2-3 times per week and then increase gradually for desired result.

Not the best for sensitive skin

Really like this serum… I have really dry skin and thought I would need to apply moisturiser after this t might, but I don’t… this is all I use and it keeps my skin hydrated all night… defo feel as if my skin is smoother too… only thing I will say is , be very careful with the weather heating up!… I had to stop using it for a few days with the sun being so strong as I found that my face and neck broke out in a sort of prickly heat rash…even with sunscreen on my face felt as if it was burning… but I just stopped using it for a few days and took a couple of antihistamines and all good again… defo great results and great price

Greater starter retinol
I actually got a sample of another retinol product that was 1% retinol and it was too much to start off with so I purchased this to ease into it. I use it every evening with no peeling. A few drops does the job, I am starting to notice a difference with continued use but results don’t appear overnight. I’m hoping to use this one till it’s empty and then move onto the 0.5%
