Still can’t make up my mind whether I love it...

Love/ Hate with this product. I love the packaging and when my skin hasn’t got any blemishes it’s great. It’s quite a thick formula so I find that it takes a bit of work to blend (I normally use liquid foundation) and takes a little more time and effort to apply.

Just beautiful.

I have normal to dry skin and it went on like velvet. Perhaps I might have got a slightly darker shade - I got Porcelain - but as it'll be winter soon that's not too problematic. It's just sitting there and looks so natural and even. And it tucks into my makeup bag of basics without a heavy bottle or tube. I usually use YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint, but this is just as good as. Next spring I'll get the darker shade. One thing I'd like… if only we could order a tiny sample of a couple of shades then get the real deal. Foundation has to match exactly.

Really disappointed

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I've been wanting to try this foundation for ages and treated myself when I finally got back to work after being furloughed. I'd seen loads of good reviews and was so excited. I have normal to combination skin, oily nose area. This sat on my pores and made my face look like a dot to dot picture. Within a couple of hours of finishing my makeup, the foundation was completely gone from my top lip, Iooked greasy and shiny, despite having set with my laura Mercier translucent powder. By lunchtime, the foundation was gone from nose and chin. I looked horrendous. I tried again with a different primer and setting spray, same problems. So disappointed. I'm not going to give up though. I have another primer to try it with. I guess we'll see what happens. I won't hold my breath though.

So glad I finally bought it!

This has been one of those foundations I have wanted to try for years due to the hype around it, but the price and the fact its a foundation stick has always put me off as I'm an oily skin type. That being said I finally caved and I'm so glad I did. A truly beautiful full coverage, yet so the lightweight in feel foundation. Lastest perfect on my skin and was surprised how little you needed.

How do they do that..

It's beautiful - I hate creams, sticks etc. as they are cake but this isn't! It's silky, luminous and glowy. I love it. I set it with a spray and it works well for me .

This is amazing! Buy for special occasions. Pricey considering not much product. But would buy again

A patchy base

The packaging is super sleek but the product inside just did not match up to the price tag. On my dry skin, it clung to dry patches, would not blend out and after many attempts of blending would separate. From the patches this foundation stuck to, I could see the coverage is very high but it just did not work for me.

Hourglass stick foundation

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I was really disappointed with this foundation as I heard so many good things about it. However, for me, the foundation didn’t sit nicely on my skin and looked like it was soaking into the skin like I would’ve liked it to. It didn’t blend nicely so it looked like I had bad skin. I bought the veil primer to try and correct the issue but it didn’t help, I also bought new brushes which didn’t work and used a beauty blender but nothing worked. It may work for some but for me it didn’t do me any favours and it’s something I won’t be using. I also have normal skin so I thought a stick foundation would work nicely but unfortunately not.

Good quality foundation stick

This is my ride or die. Medium to full coverage for me. I have dark scars. It covers all blemishes or scars and looks flawless whether it’s blended with a damp beauty sponge or a dense foundation brush. I have dry skin and it wasn’t dry, flaky nor cakey. It is one of my favourite foundations. Even though I use other foundations I have repurchased this foundation stick at least 4 times.

Great coverage on the go

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Excellent product! Gives medium to full coverage, it’s creamy and bendable. However I use a primer with it as I find it sits in your lines and pores after a while. Not long wearing especially if you have oily skin. Great to put your makeup on the go or have in your purse for touch ups. Didn’t cause any breakouts for my oily combination acne prone skin. I will be repurchasing.
