Surprised & very Impressed
I jumped in onto the hype about this mascara because it was from CT and I was dubious at first so just got the travel size but after the first use I was hooked and definitely plan on getting the larger size tube! It’s beautiful, the wand is a great size to get at your lash root, build up, separate and get to your lower lashes as well..the actual product is a deep black, it’s a great base for falsies (not that I need to wear them because this covers that) and it’s not too fragranced so it doesn’t irritate my eyes either. I use a good oily eye make up remover and the mascara just slips off at the end of the day...I thought I had sorted my high end mascara but this has just completely knocked that off! This so far is my go to high end mascara!

Disappointed
The mascara itself made my lashes look lovely, but I had panda eyes just an hour after applying. For a mascara that promises to withstand humidity and not to budge or smudge, it's a huge disappointment. I'm glad I only bought the travel size to test it.

Was really hopeful and looking forward to trying this but unfortunately, it didn't deliver what it's supposed to - for me anyway. I have average length lashes but they don't curl so I was hoping this would lift and curl them but it didn't. It's not a bad mascara but there are better ones about for less money.

I love every single Charlotte Tilbury product I have ever bought (foundation, lipstick and consealor) expected the mascara to be as fantastic. It wasn't. It clumped, was very runny, bleeds onto your face, and even if you clean it all up after applying carefully, it seeps onto your under eye.

Truly AWFUL smudging mascara
This looks great... For about 5 mins. After an hour, it was all around my eyes and continued to smudge all day. I tried a few more times, hoping that it was just bad beginners luck, but it continued to come off all over my eye sockets. A dreadful mistake buying this product.

Absolutely love this. Im a mascara junkie and it takes alot to impress me but this does it for me. Once you get the hang of application technique, my lashes look long and jet black. No panda eyes but easy to remove.

Disappointed
I love all the other Charlotte Tilbury beauty products I have so had great expectations for this. But it bled under my eyes and I ended up looking like a panda! I tried putting lots of setting powder under my eyes and even not coating but bottom lashes but it didn’t help :(

It grew on me!
I really hated this at first as I ended with mascara all over my lid and a clumpy mess, but powered by the frustration of my inability to use this wand despite a lot of people loving this I started experimenting with different ways to apply it and I think I've cracked the code! The secret is to wipe off excess product, get very close to the lash line, gently wiggle, and let the brush do the work avoiding to go over the same section until it is fully dry. Once I nailed the application I was able to appreciate this very black and long-wearing formula and the beautiful curl and lift the brush provides which means that I can skip curling before using this.
