When we found out that hair stylist extraordinaire Jen Atkin (a.k.a. founder of OUAI Haircare) was distilling her expertise into a line of curl-caring releases we couldn't get our hands on them quick enough. Previously synonymous with ‘French girl’ tousled texture, this covetable range marries accessibility and luxury with nourishing ingredients and an infinitely Instagrammable aesthetic. Now on a mission to show curls the care they deserve, this exclusive Curl Crème - Fragranced is the key to touchable, defined curls sans crunchiness!
To craft their Curl Crème - Fragranced, the minds behind OUAI Haircare turned to the most knowledgable, discerning people they know: their very own curly-haired community. That's right, this luscious blend was co-created with 150 members of their community and faced over a year of testing before they were sure it was worthy of touching your curls...
This does-it-all styling cream is brimming with conditioning plant oils that add definition, shine and impressive hydration to parched coils, curls and ringlets. It's unique consistency first goes on like a cream before melting into your hair with the swiftness of an oil; speaking of which, at the heart of the formula is a frizz-smoothing duo of chia and linseed oils that emphasise the shape of your curls as well as protecting them against humidity. Coconut oil then floods your hair with hydration and helps to seal damaged cuticles, while babassu oil softens and enhances shine. The finishing touch is an infusion of the brand's fan-favourite North Bondi scent: a bergamot and lemon blend that's simply bewitching. As for what's not included, this vegan cream is free from silicones, SLS, parabens, phthalates and gluten. Psst, the tube is also made out of sugarcane plastic, making it 100% recyclable!
On wet hair:
To prevent breakage, section and detangle your hair using a wide-tooth comb (stay away from bristle brushes because they can disrupt your curl pattern)
Start with a dime-size amount of Curl Crème and evenly distribute it with your fingers (it’s super creamy and melts into your curls like an oil)
Comb through each section using your fingers to ensure Curl Crème blesses each and every curve
Let your hair dry, then say hello to your softest curls ever
If you plan on heat styling later and want heat protection, pair Curl Crème with OUAI Leave In Conditioner, our multitasking detangler and leave-in that provides thermal heat protection and weightless hydration
On dry hair:
A little bit of Curl Crème goes a long OUAI in refreshing day-two or day-three curls.
On dry hair, apply Curl Crème sparingly and directly to your curls to help define and smooth frizz and flyaways.

Best curl cream I’ve used <3
Amazing product, a little goes a long way and at the same time you can use a lot of it without weighing your hair down too much! For reference my hair is in between the super wavy to slightly springy/curly (and super susceptible to frizz lol)and it really helps create a smooth curl. Ouai is the way!😋

Great results
This is a lovely non-sticky curl creme. It isn’t particularly strongly fragranced in my opinion and it gives a good result on my fine hair. It lasts for aaages and this tube is a repeat purchase for me. This is easily one of my favourite hair products.

Lovely Product
Really impressed with this curl cream and I think it would be good for most hair types but held up well for my wavy hair as it isn't too heavy and a litle goes a long way. I will say the smell is quite fragrance so if you're sensitive to smells like I am I would suggest getting the fragrance free version, which im planing to try after this one.
