    LIXIRSKIN Electrogel Cleanser Reviews

    Ineffective
Really doesn’t clean at all. Smells nice and has a nice texture, but that’s about it.
Not as good as I had hoped.
The smell is gorgeous as is the packaging, but the product itself really didn’t do anything for me. I’ve had cream cleansers before but this seemed weak and hard work. Although it works in to the skin fine, I didn’t feel much cleansing action going on. I’ve tried it alone and as a second cleanser but I really couldn’t get on with it. It doesn’t remove make up very well. I also feel like my skin has suffered since I introduced this in to my routine. I’ve finished the whole tube to give it a chance but it isn’t for me, so unfortunately I won’t be buying again.
    Reacted and disappointed
Wanted to enjoy this cleanser but there’s something in this that causes me to react and leaves me looking like I have a sunburn. My skin is normally tolerant and never reacts badly so I’m surprised by this.
    Such a disappointment
I really, really wanted this to be amazing like it's description but alas it wasn't. The consistency is lovely and creamy, it also smells quite nice, it has a faint scent nothing too strong. However, it does absolutely nothing for my skin. It doesn't cleanse it properly, I've tried as both 1st cleanse, 2nd cleanse, hot towel as is suggested in the instructions but it doesn't clear makeup like it promises and unfortunately, since I started using it, it has given me spots where I'd never had any. I very rarely get spots, usually just one hormonal chin spot. This broke me out on the cheeks. So disappointed.
    Best cleanser ever
I was so skeptical when I ordered the Lixir line. I have combination, acne-prone skin, which I have managed to get under control through very thorough, daily care. I'm also in my late thirties and wear a full face of makeup daily. This range has given me, for the first time, great skin. To the point that I have completely abandoned my twice-weekly, multi-mask regime. All masks, gone. The skin is consistently great and stable. Use the brilliant cleanser as a second cleanse. Take it all off with micellar water first and then leave this on for a couple of minutes. I don't like it in my eyes though, despite product directions. Great, great stuff.
    Great
I use cleansing oil to remove makeup first then use this for a second cleanse and I find it makes such a difference. My skin looks so much clearer since I started using this compared to other cleansers that I have used previously. My skin feels clean and doesn’t feel dry. A great addition to my skincare routine
Good cleanser, but just unfortunately not for me
Get it as a sample with purchase. It is a really good cleanser. I notice that it reduce blackheads significantly, do not dry skin or irritate my eyes. Note, that this 2nd step cleanser after you remove make up with your 1st step cleanser. Be ready, that this cleanser doesn't foam, it's similar to cream in its consistency. So it is a very good product. But I can't live with its scent. It's powdery and rose. I don't like strong scents in cosmetics in general, but this smell just repels me. It is only my problem, so if you good with such scents, I would decently recommend it. Hope they will do smh without any scent. Anyway, I was glad to try this interesting product.
    Surprisingly good!
I got a sample of it and tried it with an "ok just another cleanser" attitude but I really really liked it. Nice lightweight herbal smell, perfect creamy consistency and my skin felt clean but relaxed afterwards ( I have sensitive/dry/blemished skin). Gonna be my next go for 2nd cleanser during summer.
    Perfect 2:nd cleanse
I use the EH cleansing balm which is just amazing and I use this as my 2nd cleanse and it is lovely. Your skin looks smooth and bright and it feels really clean. I already did rebuy just to make sure that I’ll never run out!
    Wonderful
I have dry, sensitive skin, but like 'washing' my face in the am and pm. I have only had this cleanser for a week and think it's the best I've ever tried. (Liz Earle hot cloth, Eve Lom hot cloth, Clarins Sensitive Skin and many more!). I love the two-step effect and use the time to practise some deep breathing. It's not too scented I don't think and my skin is really glowing. I'm also using their Vitamin C paste and moisturiser, but going to wait a few more weeks before writing a review of those (although no complaints so far, finding them all excellent). I'm so glad I discovered this brand it's wonderful and the packaging is utterly divine. Love Love Love.
    Very good
I like this cleanser and its creamy texture. It does what it says and it works wonderfully as a make up remover. It leaves the skin very soft and clean.
    Love
I’ve been using this cleanser for a week now and I love it. It smells lovely. I can’t describe the smell, maybe slightly rose like like but only a little as I don’t particularly like rose scented stuff but this is lovely. The texture is nice and light but creamy. You massage it in with damp hands and leave it on for a minute, then wash off (i use cloth at night but not in the morning) or longer if you want to use it as a mask. I love the idea of the negatively charged particles attracting the positively charged ‘bad stuff’ and washing it away. It leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. Never feels dry afterwards, just soft and comfortable. I have normal skin and I’m 43.
    I Hate to Say It
But I didn't like this cleanser at all. With me it's clear when I don't like a product when it just sits on the shelf not being used after several months. This doesn't really do much for me and I guess because I use a lot of actives/acids in my routine it does tend to sting my skin if I leave it too long. I think the Shea butter brings out a few breakouts in me too which I loathe! Other products in this line such as the vitamin c paste are good though.
    So good I repurchased...
I never repurchase skin care. I always like to try something different every time but for the first time ever I've gone for a second tube of this!! I have combination skin and saw instant results after the first time I used it - my blemishes were calmed and my skin texture was so smooth and silky. Word of warning though - don't leave it on too long. On a couple of occasions, I've ignored the 3-minute maximum suggestion and ending up quite red. I also find it does this if I've used a liquid exfoliator with AHAs, BHAs and/or PHAs the day before.
    Great cleanser
I love this cleanser, makeup just dissolves, love the smell. It leaves my skin clean soft and not tight. I'm buying my second tube.
    Really wanted to love this
I've tried using this both as a first and second cleanser and it doesn't really work as either - it won't remove your makeup at all, but it doesn't emulsify enough to be a second cleanser. I've tried the warm cloth approach and that makes it a little more bearable, but I've been seeing clogged pores pop up in places I've never had clogged pores before, so I'm a little sour about that. I think it's got potential, but the formula could use (a lot of) tweaking. PS: I actually rather like the scent - faintly herbal in my experience, rather than floral.
    It doesn’t do anything
I got a sample of this and I tried to use this in the morning and it feels as if you did not cleanse. I guess people with extremely dry skin might like it but my normal skin felt like nothing happened.
    Not many positives
This cleanser was not for me. I can’t stand the awful rose scent and it doesn’t do a good job for getting my makeup off - I’m left with panda eyes and my mascara is not even waterproof. The one thing I do like is that my face doesn’t feel tight and dry after using this cleaner but there are heaps of other products that do a better job so I won’t be buying this again. Also, the “negatively charged particles” stuff is rubbish.
    Love it
Got sent a sample of this from Cult Beauty and it's the best cleanser I've ever used. I have had Lancome, Estée Lauder, Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Elemis etc and I love it! Will definitely be buying it.
    Great cleanser
I love this, not much else to say. It takes a full face of makeup and the day right off, and your skin feels lovely and pampered, nourished even. The only thing is, I still haven't figured out how to do the eyes but also leaving it on for the two minutes suggested, as my hay-fever eyes couln't take it that long. So for the time being, I remove the eye makeup first, then follow with this. I don't use a cloth, I rinse off, which is also breaking the rules a bit. Great product.
    Great
I have to admit I was swayed towards this cleanser by the packaging, as I wasn't totally convinced by the 'negative particle' science - however, I've been surprised at how much I like it. It smells herbal and almost minty...the closest thing I can compare it to is the Liz Earle Skin Tonic toner (niche comparison I know). I'm not usually a fan of herbal smells but I find this really pleasant. The texture is great; it's very smooth and has enough slip for a good massage. The reason I'm writing this review is that I usually double cleanse (micellar followed by a balm or oil) - however, tonight I couldn't be bothered and just used this. With a little massaging it got EVERYTHING off, including notoriously difficult Benefit mascara! I'm impressed and will be trying more from the range. PS - Not that it's important, but the packaging really is lovely!
    Great pore cleaner
I was not a fan of the smell. It's very herbal and I prefer unscented skin products. However, after four nights of using this I'M A FAN. I have larger pores which always seemed clogged, no matter what I use. This is a game changer! I use it as directed like a quick mask to break up any makeup (including eye makeup). I then rinse that off and use it quickly wash my face with it one more time and my skin is perfectly clean and soft. And my pores are clean!
    Love it!
Before I started using this product along with the vitamin c mask and the emulsion I had a huge breakout, since using the 3 products together in just a few days my breakout has gone and my skin is looking and feeling much smoother and clearer, highly recommend!!
