I purchased this 3 months ago with high hopes for it. It wasn't what i imagined. I always think early reviews before trying a product contribute very little, but now I have used this product for a while I can say it is a very gentle retinol - I can't sayIi saw the same results as my favoured retinols but the fatal flaw of this product is the bottle. I don't use this every single night and was surprised when I tried to pump some out and nothing came out. I was thinking "this is very bad value for money if it's gone already". It's not gone. A substantial amount of product has conjealed at the bottom of the bottle and when I opened it to try to shake some of it out I have noticed it has also split into a cream and oil, orange oil came out on my hand while the thickened lotion stayed trapped at the bottom of the bottle. There's still quite a substantial amount left in the pot so I may have to get creative at trying to get that out but overall this is a "Flop" for me. I enjoyed trying it. It didn't break me out but it didn't improvemy skin either. I' m very grateful Cult puts these new products on sale and I purchased this in that sale - it means I get to try new things without splurging excessively on something I later regret.

So this is my instant first impressions as it's my first night using this "serum". It's a non irritating retinol. It doesn't feel like any serum I have - it's more like a lotion and this makes it less good value because it takes 2-3 pumps to cover my face whereas my previous retinol and all my beloved repurchased serums in general have a bit more spreadability. If this turns out to be a skin wonder I will repurchase it but so far I'm doubtful I'll purchase again. It doesn't feel especially nice to apply. That obviously isn't why I apply retinol. I use retinol as an anti-aging treatment so I will re-review this when I see results, or closer to the end of the bottle. On the plus-side it does absorb into skin really fast, no film or residue. I really want to like this brand but I don't have to be especially careful with retinol as, I have oilier skin and I'm not prone to irritation. So there are plenty of options that may be better for me but on cult I'm really strugglng to find a nice mid range price serum for my oily skin as I dislike retinols in oil. I want a serum that feels like serum not oil or lotion ideally . All my favourite serums just have a bit more "slip" , that essence-like, texture and glide on a bit better than this.

I love this company very much, I use vitamin C serum with pleasure, vitamin A serum did not disappoint, an excellent non-irritating form of vitamin A, an excellent remedy
