Urban Decay - Naked Ultra Violet Palette

Urban Decay Naked Ultra Violet Palette Reviews

    Ultra let down
I had been looking at this pallet for quiet some time and had been really struck by the vibrant colours. I had a family wedding coming up and thought I would treat myself... man was I disappointed!! On the whole Cult Beauty delivered quickly and there was no issue with that, the pallet looked lovely and well packaged but when it comes to the actual shadow I was extremely disappointed! The colour of the pack does not transfer the same on to the eye... some of the colours take 4/5 applications before you can even see a speck of colour! When you do finally get a good amount on within a few hours it has creased and patchy... I have tried with and without primer and each time the same result! I would think twice about buying this at full price.
    Purple!
Beautiful palette ,just what i was waiting for! I Love all colours but sadly is not as pigmented I would like. Have bit of trouble to get intensity I like, but overall another hit from Urban Decay.
Perfect purples for your palette collection
I never reach for purple eyeshadow as I have hazel eyes but I have found this palette to be surprisingly complimentary - I really love the mint hue as well as the lilac and amethyst shade for a wash of shimmer over the eyes.
    Disappointing
So so disappointing, the pay off is barely noticeable, so much effort to try and blend the shadows. Honestly concerned I may have received a faulty palette due to how underwhelming and a waste of money it was. Expected better quality from urban decay!
    Nice, albeit a little overhyped
This is the first Urban Decay palette I've tried, and it's not bad, underwhelming for the price though, if it was a £30 palette I'd love it, the colour story is good, the blendability is good, but if I'm honest I've got a bigger wow out of cheaper palettes when it comes to pigmentation. And this makes me reluctant to buy anything else ftom the brand, as I'm getting the vibe that it's the name we're paying for here as opposed to performance.
    It's Okay
I was so excited to get this palette! It wasn't released yet in the States, so I went across the pond to Cult and bought it. What a disappointment! the color story is beauty in pan, BUT when you apply it there is not a lot of pigment. I found it very hard to work with as I couldn't get it to blend together (yes I had eye primer on) and the amount of fall out was ridiculous! I found a spectacular purple palette in Jeffree Starr's Blood Lust, I don't know why I keep trying to find another one, All in all, I would not recommend
    Ultraviolet
Nice palette. Pigment could be better and shadows very powdery. Leaves a lot of residue.
    Amazing
Love this palette the colours are so amazing.
    Орел
Замечательная упаковка, модные цвета, но качество не на высоте! Мне не хватило пигментации и насыщенности, а также стойкости цвета. ***Wonderful packaging, trendy colours, but the quality is not up to par! I did not have enough pigmentation.
    Ultraviolet
    Super!!!
    Disappointing
I was so excited for this palette, I love the idea and the colours, so Urban Decay! BUT the shadows are not very pigmented, there is a lot of fall out and they are dusty. I really like the shade lucid but the majority of the shadows do not look how they do in the pan. So disappointed as I love urban decay and I thought it love this palette. Shadows are difficult to work with.
    Not sure I love it.
This arrived today and I've been playing with it since- as someone who's new to UD Naked palettes, I just expected more... bang. I love the mix of neutrals and purples, but the matte neutrals swatch a little flat and they're quite dusty. That can be fixed with a good primer, but its a bit irritating. I can't forgive the shade V.R though- it looks great, but falls completely off. It feels gritty and the sparkles just disappear. Where do they go? Heaven knows. This isn't even fallout, it just seems to vanish into the ether. It reminds me of those old stardust eyeshadows UD used to make, which would crumble into a cloud of impossible to remove glitter if you so much as looked at them funny. Lucid is a gem- I'm obsessed with its shape-shifting appearance. Put it on the inner corner over another shade, instant lift and interest. But the deeper shades are again, pretty hard to work with. It takes a bit more packing on than I expected to get up to intensity (though maybe that's a good thing, as they do work well as light washes of colour.) I don't like the included brush, but I didn't expect to- the fluffier end seems to flick colour off rather than actually blend it. So all in... I'm just not sure. I think I'll get good use out of it, but I can't help but feel a little let down by the lack of pigment in some shades and the dust flying everywhere in others.
    Ultraviolet
I love Urban Decay and have been a fan for at least 10 years. I have bought most Naked Palettes and understand the shadows are not as pigmented as their Vice Palettes. I love the choice of colours but I do agree a couple of colours are more of a topper than a eyeshadow you can use on its own. I have green eyes and this palette really compliments me. I like the palette and I find it easy to create daytime looks as well as more colourful or dramatic.
    Good
This is my first palette in the Naked series. I quite like it. It's very versatile and the purples are pigmented enough for me. There is one of the shades that doesn't seem to perform as well as the others. But overall it works for me.
Solid, good palette. 4K pigmentation. Interesting colors for those who do not like fusion makeup will be just super. Do not overdo it. The quality is standard for the palettes of this brand. I do not regret that I got it. I have a lot of shadows, there is something to compare.
    Ultra Violet
I’ve never had an Urban Decay palette before and I really wasn’t disappointed! This is an incredible palette with a good range of colours, you obviously need an eye primer to make some of them really pop and I’m not sure how good it would be on skin darker than my fair complexion but this is my new personal favourite.
    Lovely lilac
I was for a long time looking for lilac eyeshadows and these are just great. They are just the colour I was looking for. They are very gentle so if you want a darker shade you have to put more. But nevertheless, I would reorder again. Beautiful shades!
If you love Urban Decay palettes...
This one won't disappoint. The Ultra Violet NAKED palette is definitely one to try if you can apply nudes and browns with your eyes closed. The purple shades are so wearable and the shimmer toppers can be layered or used alone for an eye-catching shine on the lid. The nudes are there to pair it back if you need to and the colour pay-off follows in the footsteps of all its bestselling predecessors. Purple is the new...?
    Love it!!
I just got my palette today and had a play. I don’t get the negative reviews on this at all. The purples are very soft and glowy- especially applied with my finger. The mattes have a bit of fall out but not any different to other mattes by UD. For reference, I have all the Naked Palettes and this is comparable to Naked Honey imo. I’m looking forward to coming up with some lloks and especially layering VR and Lucid over other colours in my collection both are gorgeous and my faves in the palette!
    Love Love Love !!!
Love the colors, love the palette, love the brand highly recommended.
    UD Junkie
I love this palette, though it looks intimidating as well as not the usual eye shadow colours I am comfortable with, it took me at surprise how easy the colours are to work with as well as the formula to blend. The shimmer colours are truly sensational and gives me galaxy vibes with the blue/purple/green hue shimmers. Just a cute little tip that purple works really well for the brown eye people like me, I felt like it really brought out my eye colour.
Some shades a bit hard to work with
Tried this palette for the first time yesterday, it's my first urban decay palette too. I loved how the colours swatched, I did get a bit of kick up in the pan though when I dipped my brush into it. The colours worked amazing but some of the shades like the neutral mattes were a bit hard to work with. I love the lucid shade but I had to apply it twice to get the shimmer to show. Overall it's a fantastic palette.
