With a featherweight, translucent formula, Too Faced's Shadow Insurance Eye Shadow Primer amplifies your favourite cream and powder shadows for 24 hours of non-creasing, fade-resistant wear. Yep, even if those 24 hours sees you hitting the office, dinner or even a sweaty club.
Suited to all skin tones, this primer glides on weightlessly, neutralising lid discoloration and amplifying the payoff of your shadows in the process. Unique binders lock in pigment to ensure it won't crease, smudge or fade, keeping breakthrough oil (which can start to degrade your shadow application for that dreaded streaky look) at bay. This clever formula also features an essential blend of skin-loving ingredients. Think: red, brown and black rice extract to protect from urban pollution and blue light and licorice root and marshmallow root extracts to help nourish your skin.
Apply a pea-size amount on the eyelid using the doe foot applicator. Then, blend using a clean fingertip or a flat shadow brush from lash line up to the brow bone. Allow to for Shadow Insurance Primer to dry, then blend shadow effortlessly on top.
Tip: To help eliminate smudging on the lower lash line apply a small amount of Shadow Insurance Primer using a clean fingertip or a flat shadow brush. Follow with eye shadow, eye liners, and mascara, if desired.

Good for oily lids, but not sensitive eyes
I have extremely oily lids and struggle to find primers that will actually keep my shadow on all day without creasing. This managed to keep my eye makeup on without creasing and smudging for 8+ hours so was great for that purpose, although I did find it irritated my eyes somewhat, likely due to the fragrance - it has quite a strong scent.

Makes shadow last much better than without, haven’t really used other primers so can’t compare it to anything else but I would repurchase

Very good eye primer
I think I like this eye primer more than the other one I had before (NARS), neither of them have a base color, but it kept my eyeshadow on all day without creasing. Blending on top of it was effortless, no skipping, all good. Also it is not sticky which I prefer.

Better out there
This is an okay product. I do feel like it makes my eyeshadow last longer, but it doesn’t really intensify the colour much. You do get a lot of product, which is great. Would probably not repurchase, however.Â
