Sharing some of the native Amazonian ingredients as their iconic Bum Bum Cream, Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Joia Shampoo brings a little South American flair to your hair care routine. Lather up to leave locks feeling restored, refreshed and totally ’cheirosa’ (sheh-rō-zah) — meaning always smelling good — thanks to the brand’s signature pistachio-caramel fragrance.
Here to save your split ends, clinical tests show Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Joia Strengthening + Smoothing Shampoo reduces breakage by 70% in just one use. Infused with Amazonian actives to deeply replenish, this sulphate-free formula leaves strands strong, shiny and swishable.
With the same delicious scent as Sol de Janeiro’s iconic Bum Bum Cream, this creamy shampoo lifts away build up and impurities, while fortifying fragile locks. Encapsulated plant-based keratin beads help to repair split ends, while a rich blend of brazil nut, coconut oil, buriti fruit oil and cupuaçu butter create smoother, shinier strands. Rinse clean for hair that feels stronger, more manageable and nourished — but never weighed down.
Apply a generous amount to wet hair and massage as luscious lather builds. Rinse and repeat, as desired. Follow with Brazilian Joia Strengthening + Smoothing Conditioner for maximum benefits.

Beautiful shampoo
I colour my hair regular and deal with harsh weather conditions when working around horses. I totally recommend this product and love the feel of silky hair all the time. Spoil yourself, i do.

Divine Scent
Maybe I should start with something more practical but I love the scent. It makes me feel as if I am at some exotic location. More to the point, the shampoo is very moisturising and makes my hair feels so smooth. That being said, I have a thick naturally curly hair which could get quite dry. Meaning that if yours is on the thin side, the shampoo could potentially feel heavy.

Smells great
Love the smell and very moisturising, the bottle is not much bigger than a roll on just incase you get a shock but saying that it's so moisturising you really don't need alot so still lasts weeks washing hair twice a week

Ooft!
It’s the fragrance for *meeeee!*. Gorgeous! Worth a repurchase and keeping in the rotation just for the beautiful, iconic scent although I do feel the shampoo is giving me some build up on the scalp after use. Still a beautiful product which requires only a small amount to get a lovely lather going.

Good
I love this scent sadly it doesn’t seem to last. It lathers well but I think my hair becomes greasier more quickly, so I alternate conditioners as I’m not sure if it’s the shampoo or conditioner!

It’s ok
First impressions: It smells really nice when you freshly squeeze it out Cleanliness: it does a fairly good job of cleaning the hair but I do find my hair gets slightly greasy quicker with this product than my usual. Durability of scent: it doesn’t last very long, once you have washed it out you hair, I find the scent doesn’t linger on the hair Overall: I think it’s a nice to have if you want to splurge but is it absolutely a must have? No… it really isn’t the be all and end all and I do think it is over hyped.

Amazing
Gorgeous smelling amazing product. Don’t need much for clean scalp and silky hair. I have the conditioner to definitely recommend. I have fried hair after over processing and working it for years this really makes is more manageable. My pre teen daughters love it too.
