Plenaire - Violet Paste Blemish Solution

Plenaire Violet Paste Blemish Solution Reviews

    Worth it for the results
I have quite bad cystic acne which won't budge/got worse even with using all sorts of different cleansers, acids, and toners. I bought this product as a last ditch attempt to make my acne at least slightly better and I was super surprised at the results. Like the other reviews, I agree that this doesn't dry, but if you apply it early enough in the evening you can avoid getting *too* much (read:still some) on your pillowcase. But, this is totally worth it for the results. My cystic acne is smaller and less painful in the morning, and it actually works to draw out the pimple rather than just completely drying it and making it uncomfortable. It would be useful to have an application spoon/tool (I used a leftover tool that I have from a Glow Recipe product) to get the product out, as otherwise it's slightly tricky. This product is by no means perfect but I would definitely buy again once I've run out.
    Good
I like this product! It has a lovely smell, and I can honestly see a difference in breakouts when I use it. As other reviews have said, it doesn’t dry so it feels a little awkward going to sleep without it setting, but when I wake the next morning the product is still there, just maybe a little smudged. I haven’t been using it for long, however the results I’ve seen so far are very good!
    bad
The paste takes very long to dry up and gets everywhere like your hair and pillowcase. Most importantly, it doesn't improve the acne after all night long. Plus, the bottle is leaky and make the bottle gets oily. Would not recommend to anyone.
    Excellent
I bought this for my granddaughter, she tells me it’s really good and is very pleased with how it has helped her skin and massively reduced her spots.
    Good investment
I put off buying this for a long time, but eventually my longing got the better of me and I took the plunge. One thing that put me off, I admit, was the cost. It’s a lot of money for something that might not work, and after many disappointing experiences with over the counter spots treatments to medically prescribed acne treatment, I have grown quite tired of relegating another product to the bin.My initial experience was not positive: the consistency of the product I received wasn’t right. It kept separating, and simply wouldn’t dry on the skin no matter what I tried. Here, I cannot fault Cult Beauty’s customer service who replaced the jar for me very quickly, as well as Plenaire’s own very responsive customer service, who spoke to me about my experience for feedback and provided advice on using the product. I also have to add the packaging is stunning, from the glass jar to the design of the box. It feels very luxe and something you’d want to display on your bathroom shelf. The replacement jar is working out much better, no separation and the consistency is thicker. I still wouldn’t call it quite a paste, despite the name. It’s got something of a wet chalky quality, and smells wonderful, delicate and floral. Plenaire’s advice, which I’ve followed, is to apply the paste to a spot with a cotton bud, dab the excess with a tissue, then to apply a second layer of paste and dab again. This is wonderful advice, as the cotton and blotting helps absorb some of the moisture from the paste making sure it dries quicker on the skin. I was also advised not to view it as a drying paste but more as an ointment, but it should stay in place overnight. Unfortunately, this just doesn’t happen for me, and most of the time it has rubbed away, which makes me feel concerned for the cleanliness of my pillows! Saying that, it is very effective, especially on spots that are just emerging. They are often gone overnight or much reduced, so by day 3 they are no more. I get a mix of red bumps, whiteheads and the odd flare of cystic acne. I can’t say how it will treat the latter, but for the others it’s working. It’s not drying out my skin or just burning off my spots. I have very sensitive skin on the dry side, so it’s great to find a spot treatment aimed at being suitable for my skin type that isn’t aggressive but very effective. I’m also a picker, and it been good to help stop that by creating a barrier, which is worth considering if you’re like myself. Overall I’m really pleased, it’s a lovely product and it’s a nice ritual to add to my routine, and well worth the investment. That jar is going to last for a year at the very least with nightly use, though with how well it’s working I doubt I’ll need it every night!
    Really happy I bought this!
My acne is plight atm, but I used to have moderate to severe acne so I tried a lot of things, I know the struggle of finding something that works lol. This is one of only two products I'd recommend for treating pimples that isnt benzoyl peroxide! But maybe only if your acne is fairly light? -Its many benefits: This product works very well for my type of acne atm, and on both pimples and those horrible yellow pustules lol. My HG used to be Odacité's pimple serum, which was p spectacular for deep-under-the-skin, painful pimples, but it didn't do much for pustules. The Plenaire paste works on both. I'd say maybe the Plenaire paste isn't as amazing for big painful pimples as Odacité's serum can be, but it still definitely helps reduce the pain&inflammation, which is more than I can say for some spot-reducing products I've tried over the years. Another happy surprise was that it seems to help reduce hyperpigmentation after the pimple is gone as well, I've applied the paste to some very angry-looking spots and was surprised afterwards bc they didn't seem to leave much of a mark on my skin? Could be the niacinamide serum too though. Another thing I love about it is that it can still work its magic in less than a night, sometimes if I wake up with a pustule and put this on, by the time I put on my makeup (an hour or two) the pustule will have started to dry and will be less noticeable under foundation :-) -Price/Quantity: The jar looks small but considering you don't need a whole lot of paste it feels like it would last a good while, I've had this for a month or two, a few breakouts on top of the daily small spot here and there and it didn't make much of a dent in the product. For comparison, I used to go through a bottle of Odacité serum in one month. -Nice to use: I think the added bonus for this product is the aesthetic and smell. Applying benzoyl peroxide never was a part of my routine I looked forward to; Odacité's serum was just OK to apply, but this! I love the packaging, the light purple colour is lovely and makes it almost fun to treat your pimples lol. And the SMELL! Weirdly, I don't like it in their cleanser at all, but every time I open this little jar I take a deep breath to inhale that lovely fragrance haha. Plenaire somehow managed to turn the sad, pimple treatment part of my routine into something lovely :'D
    Not worth it
This paste doesn't dry at all, it would be a total mess to leave it over night. It would mess your beddings and pillow case, I just don't know how to use it now, I am putting it on spots as a mask then washing it off just to use the product.
    Don’t bother
The paste never dries, even after dabbing it as it says to in one of the other reviews. It’s completely unusable, you can’t use it at night because it gets everywhere and it’s not really practical to use during the day. I have tried leaving it on all day but you end up accidentally smudging it within a few hours no matter how hard you try not to touch your face. Such a waste of money, don’t buy this.
    So happy with results
I bought this for my daughter who suffers from very bad breakouts. I have tried lots of other products none which worked I was a little put off by the price buy decided after reading some reviews to get it. I have been applying it every night to my daughter's skin for a week now and the results are amazing her skin has cleared up so much it was definitely worth every penny.
    Love this product!
This really works in clearing up any present pimples, it also helps to prevent any that I feel appearing.
