Founded in 1996 by the world-renowned make up artist, Laura Mercier is adored for its iconic formulas, ranging from complexion staples to skin care and even body care. One of its most legendary creations is the Translucent Loose Setting Powder (29g), a weightless hero that locks your make up in place and grants your skin with a natural, soft-focus finish.
Laura Mercier's Translucent Loose Setting Powder (29g) is a beauty staple that's pining for a spot in your cabinet (that's if it isn't already in there).
This silky-smooth formula locks your make up in place for long-lasting wear, without emphasising any uneven texture. Instead, it's finely milled consistency absorbs excess oil and shine for up to 24 hours while blurring the appearance of enlarged pores. As for the finish? It grants your complexion with an invisible, soft-matte look sans any photo flashback or oxidization (AKA it won't change the colour of your foundation). Plus, it's infused with antioxidant-rich vitamins (read: C and E) which promote a brighter, more nourished visage over time. Cue a night out without any touch-ups needed...

The greatest translucent powder on the market
After I started using this, I never looked back. It’s the perfect blurring translucent powder, and it lasts all day long. I couldn’t recommend it more if I tried!

good but there's better
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder is a good product, but I do think Huda Beauty’s Easy Bake Loose Powder edges it out in some areas. The Laura Mercier powder gives a smooth, matte finish and does a great job of setting makeup without feeling heavy. It’s very fine and lightweight, and it doesn’t flash back in photos, which is a big plus. However, I find that Huda Beauty offers a more long-lasting, flawless finish. While the Laura Mercier powder works well for setting foundation, it doesn’t have the same brightening or smoothing effect that Huda’s powder does, especially in the under-eye area. Huda Beauty gives me that extra radiance and soft-focus effect, while the Laura Mercier powder can sometimes look a bit more matte and less luminous. Both powders are great, but if you're looking for a bit more glow, staying power, and that "airbrushed" look, Huda Beauty just has the edge for me.

10/10
Here's the updated version with those adjustments: --- I love this powder! I bought the shade Honey Translucent. I'll be honest, I doI mix it a little with my Huda Beauty, but it's beautiful on its own too. It’s not drying and leaves your under eyes looking flawless. The flashback is minimal, so you won’t look white under the eyes or dry! it looks amazing in photos and also in person! I definitely recommend it! I use this on myself and on others. it looks good on both mature and young skin.
