For damage-free backcombing (that's also easy to brush out), use ghd's three-stroke method. Take a small section of hair and hold it away from your head. Place the comb in the section a few centimetres away from the root and comb in two short strokes against the direction of growth, stopping short at the roots. For the third stroke, brush back right to the roots.

Top tip: To section your hair with precision when styling, use the tail end of the comb, not the teeth.
