OLAPLEX - No 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner

OLAPLEX No 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner Reviews

    Great but not the best
I use all the Olaplex from 1 to 6 and looove it. The conditioner is great but my hair is quite thin I am not sure it would have worked should it have been thicker. I need to soak it at least 5 minutes to be able to detangle it when my hair is long. With shorter hair, it is better. I can't live without the whole range and can't wait for Cult Beauty to stock the #7!
    Amazing conditioner
This is the best conditioner I have ever used, my hair looks healthier, shinier & full of body. I’ve tried many conditioners over the years - this is simply the best one in the market.
    Olaplex 5
In my opinion, Olaplex 5 and 6 are the most useless in the Olaplex family. It's an ok conditioner with silicones in it; very overpriced and overrated, but smells really nice.
    Worth the money
So I have had my hair bleached for years so I can go a lovely grey! Now I wasn't too sure by the price and size of the bottle but you really do need only a small amount! My hair feels AMAZING and I use the Olaplex shampoo with this. My hair feels thicker and stronger already after just 1 week. These products are the best!
Ok but only used with other Olaplex product!
Good product, but depends a lot on your hair type. For my damaged hair is great but I use No. 3, No. 4 and Olaplex No. 6 too! Not without!
    Third bottle; hair repaired
Naturally a dark brunette with previously thick long hair; now bright blonde. After nearly 3 years of being blonde and styling it as I did previously without colour, my hair began to break. After three bottles of 4 & 5, with recently using stage 3; my hair is no longer breaking off! I have not changed anything else and my hair is in better condition and is growing rapidly, with thickness... No going back! Yes it’s pricey... but you get what you pay for and a bottle can last around 6-8 weeks. Only use a 10p size amount.
Not as good as the No. 3
I had high hopes for this conditioner as I saw rave reviews and after using the No. 3 treatment I thought it would make a difference to my fine, damaged hair. I leave it on for around 5 minutes or sometimes more depending on what I’m doing in the bath and I just don’t see any difference. I don’t know if this is one of those conditioners that repair the hair long term so their might not be immediate visible results but as I haven’t not see a shred of difference, I won’t repurchase.
    Rubbish
After trying the no3 treatment and seeing good results, I decided to purchase this pricey conditioner with the hope of seeing some results. After a few uses it’s just not doing anything, my hair is left frizzy and looks like I’ve skipped conditioner. My herbal essence conditioner works better then this. Would not re purchase.
    Really disappointed....
As someone who loves Olaplex 3, I was really disappointed. I got both the shampoo and conditioner and even after using the conditioner my hair felt SO dry and brittle afterwards, and was so frizzy after drying? I didn't expect that at all especially from this brand. I have long hair that has been colour treated and used sufficient amounts for my hair. I also purchased shampoo and conditioner from pureology on here and it's made a world of a difference, has left my hair in amazing shape, so silky and smooth feeling, and smells so good. Stick with Olaplex 3, but pass on the shampoo and conditioner and save your money for better ones.
    Good Conditioner
I'm pleased with this conditioner, leaves my hair soft and silky, will purchase again!
    A bit meh
I use the Olaplex 3 treatment (left overnight, under a shower cap, game changer for my chemically straightened, coloured hair, love it) and thought I'd compliment it with the shampoo and conditioner from the same range. And I'm really not sure. Although the condition of my hair is as good as it's ever going to be, given how I treat it, since using the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner it's looked very dull. There's no shine to it, and it seems a bit meh. I'll stick with the No. 3 treatment, but probably won't repurchase the other two products from the range.
I have never reviewed so many compliments
I have added this to my hair care routine and I have noticed my hair was looking healthier and people have given me compliments on my hair since. This is my first time adding expensive haircare though.
    Little Disapointed
I already use Olaplex when getting highlights and the number 3 at home treatment, the shampoo is not bad but not great either, however, the conditioner is rather disappointing. Yes, it makes my hair feel good, although a little hard somehow but it is full of silicones which I frankly I do not understand why they put in it. I won't be using it as I try to avoid silicones in my hair care altogether and have much better options that are silicone free. I was hoping I loved this since I adore the number 3 but unfortunately that's just not the case.
    No.
My hair is so dry and unattractive. I had super high expectation from reading all the reviews... I wish I never bought this. My scalp is itchy and I've only used half of the bottles. Oh and I have normal to oily hair... I normally wash my hair every 3 days when it starts to get oily.
    excellent
My hair is in the best ever condition. Love this product and so it's economical for the results.
    Lovely
Genuinely has made such a difference to my hair. It looks so shiny and healthy and seems to sit much better even when I just let it dry naturally. Will definitely be ordering again!
    Disappointed
Most useless product in Olaplex family. For me, it's not good enough as a treatment and even as a conditioner.
    It's good, but not enough...
I like this conditioner, but I always need to use a lot of it to really condition my hair, and it's very pricey! I don't think it is really worth the investment for long haired girls, it's not as concentrated as Olaplex's shampoo (which I adore!!!!). Pureology Hydrate conditioner works much better in my opinion.
    Brilliant
Left my hair feeling soft, silky and easy to manage. My hair has felt stronger and I've seen less breakage since using both shampoo and conditioner. Great stuff!!
    Really pleased
I've been using Olaplex 1 and 2 for years now at the salon, with occasional use of the 3 for maintainance. The shampoo and conditioner don't feel quite as stunningly intense as the salon-grade, but my hair is still strong and shiny after using these for a few months. A little goes a long way for both the shampoo and conditioner, so they're economical as well.
    Wonderful
Working very well so far. Happy with the purchase.
    Will buy more.
These products last exactly one month. The bottle is not large - 250 ml, but in a month of intensive use, I only used about half of it. Incredibly economical consistence. The color of the products is white, the smell is pleasant (sweet-sour). My hair is easy to comb, full of volume and shiny. I will buy more.
    Olaplex
Lives up to the cult for the blond dyed hair of my daughter though she needs to wash it two or three times a week instead of just once. For my thin not dyed hair, it's not doing anything but get it greasy the day after washing, so disappointed, had high hopes, first expensive shampoo I ever bought, but will not be buying again.
    Dissapoint
I've put a review at shampoo also. This two stuff dried out my hair, no hold, and no life in my curls. I really wanted to love these, because the greatness of nr.3 and the kit. Waste of money.
    Olaplex saved my hair!
Have used Olaplex 3 for over two years before that my waist length hair was fine, split, frizzy and snapping off to the point my hairdresser advised cutting into a very short bob! I was buying all treatment masks, leave-ins, etc nothing worked until Olaplex! Added to my hairdressers professional range and two years on my hair is better than ever! So when I saw the shampoo and conditioner, four and five bought them but thought they would not make a great improvement, I was so wrong, brilliant! Have stopped. My hairdresser range use 3 twice a week and 4 and 5 every wash, you only need small amounts, the shampoo a small blob no bigger than 10p blob and this rich thick conditioner a bit more than the size blob of the shampoo. I put the conditioner on and leave 3 minutes then add a little water and massage through, leaving another minute before rinsing. After my hair is so easy to comb feels like it has had an amassing treatment is glossy and holds styles so well. Love this range all other non Olaplex versions come no where near this original. I swear this range is the best hair care innovation in the last 20 years! Certainly I would not have the long healthy hair I have, if these products were not available.
