Not for baking at all

It does set your concealer in place, but gives a white look, its not translucent that much, and it makes you look horrible in pictures. The only way you can work with this is with technique of rubbing and dabbing this.

Does exactly what it needs to!

I'd recommend a light touch but this is the best mattifying translucent powder I've ever used, and I've tried powders four times the price. I do have very oily skin and like to stay matte. I'm also prone to acne but this doesn't break me out.

Broke me out

I think NYX should be ashamed that this product hit the shelves. I’m not saying this because this powder broke me out, every skin is different. This product is awful because it’s let down by the awful packaging. This is an incredibly finely milled powder. If you open it up, you have to be so delicate otherwise the powder will go everywhere and into the air. The holes in the dispenser are far, far too large. As others have said this isn't for setting, it is for finishing, so you don’t need a lot. I had to dispense this product into another container. One great thing about this product which if you look at the ingredients, is just 100% silica powder, it is incredibly mattifying. I stayed oil-free all day. Literally ALL DAY my was face was dry from a sweaty hard days work. Perhaps this is why it broke me out as my oils and sweat were trapped.

Love this product

I never normally wrote reviews but this product is worth a review. I have combination skin and struggled with makeup going cakey whilst at work all day. I am so happy I bought this, I apply my foundation and dust over my face, no other powder required. It sets my face all day and I no longer worry about my makeup oxidising.

Not for baking!

I personally haven't tried this for baking but for me with combo skin, acne prone (blackheads etc.) it has worked well with setting my makeup with a tiny amount. I don't like baking since it usually makes my skin look dry and brings out dry patches. It's still a great powder for setting! Thinking about the price - there's a lot of product for what you pay. You never know what products fit for you before you try - reviews help a bit but everyone has such unique skin.

Awful

I totally hate this product you put one tiny bit on to set your makeup and is impossible to wipe away.

PREPARE FOR FLASHBACK

This powder even when using the tiniest amount will leave you with a white cast all over! Even after sweeping away pretty firmly so I couldn't physically see any more powder, it leaves a horrific flashback in photos. It really isn't worth spending a penny on.

Finishing!! Not setting

Your using this wrong if you getting flashback. It’s not for baking. It’s your last go to. I use it as a t-zone t-shape across my face when I’m totally finished. And using the lightest touch......it’s amazing if used the correct way....hope this helps! X

NOT A SETTING POWDER

If you are getting white casts and flashback you are using it wrong! Unfortunately there is confusion between “setting” and “finishing” powders. “Setting powders” are for just that, setting the foundation, packing it on through baking or dabbing it on with a sponge and then swiping excess away(note: a product labeled “setting” should not have flashback or a white cast). IN COMPARISON a “finishing powder” is the last step, it should be applied with a light fluffy brush AFTER foundation is set with a “setting powder”. With finishing power, you only need a tiny bit and swipe it lightly over the face, focusing on forehead and cheeks. It is great for photography or TV as it blurs fine lines and pores (hence it is more finely milled than a “setting power” as the main ingredient is silica, not cornflour/baking powder as found it setting powders) and makes the foundation last longer. If you use too much however, it will leave you with a white cast you can only see in certain light or photos. This product does exactly what it claims to do: FINISH off the entire face with smooth and silky feel/look with no flashback
