With 0.01% encapsulated retinaldehyde, AKA retinal, the Crystal Retinal 1 Serum (30ml) is your new hard-working hero serum, plumping, softening and firming the look of skin.
A cream-like serum that effortlessly melts into skin, this is your new nighttime treat. Providing the same results as retinol but up to 11 times faster, retinal works to boost the appearance of collagen-rich skin, revealing bouncy and dewy results. Encased in a crystal structure that can be broken down by the skin's natural enzymes, retinal is easily absorbed, allowing the slow release of vitamin A while you sleep. Add hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and glycerin into the prodigious blend, and you have a serum that deeply hydrates, for a healthy-looking, supple complexion.
After cleansing in the evening, massage a small amount across the face, neck and décolletage. Allow to absorb before applying your moisturiser. Use twice a week for the first two weeks, every other night for the next two weeks, then every night. Always wear sunscreen the following morning. Consult a doctor if breastfeeding or pregnant.

Didn’t irritate my sensitive skin
Have been looking for something that is good for sensitive skin and can help milia. This was recommended to me and I was worried for the price point it wouldn’t be worth it. Since using it I haven’t had any new milia surface, I haven’t had any bad reaction to it either. I definitely think it’s better for sensitive skin than full retinol. I will continue to use this and most likely purchase a higher strength

Didn’t agree with my skin
I really wanted this to work for me as I have a few of the Medik8 products and I like the brand, however this has made me break out badly around my mouth area and I haven’t used it since. It’s a nice texture and smell and applies really well but unfortunately I can’t use it anymore.Â

Gentle Retinol
This is my first time using retinols and this one is lovely. It hasn't purged my skin or made my skin super dry. It's an easy system to follow and helps you build up to stronger retinols. I will continue to buy!

Great
I have very sensitive skin, but this didn't irritate my skin after using it as directed. Helped reduce texture in my forehead and a collection of dark spots have become lighter.

Great for Sensitive Skin
This is the first retinal / retinol product that my sensitive skin has been able to tolerate.  It’s nice to use and so far I’ve had no irritation and my skin is looking and feeling good. I would highly recommend to others with sensitive skin who want to incorporate retinal into their skincare routine.Â

Effective
I have been using this for about a month now. Previously, I used the ordinary retinoid. I can already tell the medik8 retinal is much more effective. I am currently using a small pea-sized amount once weekly, I had some burning sensations and dry skin when I first started using the retinal but this is now settling. I would definitely recommend, while expensive I can tell that this retinal is much more effective than a retinol. The formula also feels very lovely, not sticky or anything.

Very gentle
It took me a long time to take a plunge with retinal and I chose this one as the lowest concentration available in the market and I have very sensitive skin. I am very impressed with the results, skin is smoother and pores are less visible, it glides over smoothly. I still cannot tolerate it for everyday use so apply every other night and still see the results. Highly recommend!

Great for sensitive skin!
I’ve used retinol many times over the years but have always struggled with my sensitive skin. This works amazingly for my skin and leaves it feeling super smooth! No irritation :)

great for sensitive skin
didn't irritate my skin at all and i saw an improvement in texture, however the tube is filled with a lot of air which is disappointing for the price.
