Got this in the Caroline Hirons box and I don't use it very often, I tend to save it for special occasions like when I want to bask my face in lusciousness before bed. But today, I did a really stupid thing - I put on a peel and then decided to do self-tan afterwards (never done this before but hey, we all have to be stupid sometimes). My face was getting gradually redder as the day went on but, because I was at home doing housework, I didn't really notice. I put it down to the fact that I had been using the steam iron and had gotten flushed from all the steam rising. Then I stopped ironing, went to use the bathroom and got a fright - I looked in the mirror and saw that it looked like I had third degree burns all over my face and neck. I didn't know what to do. I washed my face immediately with my Alpha-H Essential Cleansing Balm to soothe the irritation, applied my Merumaya Treatment Toner essence to help it cool down and, while looking at my tomato red face in the mirror, thought desperately, 'What do I have to calm irritation, what do I have to calm irritation, WHAT DO I HAVE TO CALM IRRITATION???' in a gradually increasing panic. And then it came to me - Blue Cocoon. I ran into my bedroom, applied three times as much as I normally do (I only ever use it at night when I need it, and even then I only use half a pea-sized amount). I figured that desperate times called for bigger dosages. I applied it to my face and neck, went to bring the dog for a walk, came back home fifteen minutes later, looked in the mirror and saw that my face was back to normal. Not even back to normal, my face looked somehow better than normal. I have absolutely blown away but how quickly it had calmed down the extremely dire situation that I had put my face in. Because of this, I'll never be without it now. It saved my face - I don't care how much it costs. After today, it's a hero product for sure!Report this review
I'm a believer now
Ok, firstly: I would have never ever bought this for the full price. I am just not that skincare person (so far). When Caroline Hirons' box came out in November, three products I had had on my list for a long time were in there, and the additional cost for the box only unsubstantially lower than the cost of them combined. What drew me to the box was also that I could get this excessively expensive product for a relatively small price. Since November, I have not tried this one; waited for a good moment, I guess. I have had hormonal acne for the first time in my life (acne altogether, actually, lucky me) 3 months into breastfeeding my baby. It materialized in clusters of spots that were moderately under control (I used a retinol by Indeed Labs, lactic acid in the form of Good Genes, La Roche Posay's Effaclar spot treatment, for anyone interested, and added Liquid Gold in once a week; I used a fabulous non-irritating and soothing moisturizer with these products, Belif's moisture bomb). So my spots were relatively under control, but the texture was very visible when applying powder blush. I applied this once at night before a bath, left it on overnight and when I woke up the next morning the (better) cheek was completely clean, with rosy skin and no signs of any spots or texture. The worse cheek was ALMOST clean. I was and am thrilled. The blue balm is the only product I had used the night before (aside from an eye treatment). It was the only product I had added to a consistent routine of several weeks. There is no doubt the balm deserves the credit for a DRASTIC overnight improvement. To sum up: This is a wonder product for the skin problem I had experienced. I will hold on to this; it will last me a very very long time as I must have used even less than the suggested pea amount for my entire face. I am surprised to say this, should I run out I would repurchase. I would likely try and do it with a discount code, though. It is crazy expensive. Do you need this when you have good skin? In my opinion, no. But if you have a problem you have not been fully able to heal within several weeks, I would say give this one a go. I'm amazed!Report this review
So not worth it!
This product is only good for Instagram pictures! And that proves how some "influencers" are good at creating a hype about a mediocre product as best. Honesty this balm was on my favourites list forever and I only justified buying it when it was included in Caroline Hiron's box. Although I was so excited to try it, I loved every single product in this box except this one. I don't know what magic is supposed to do but it did nothing to me, except making me oily, although my skin is combo, dehydrated. It doesn't absorb and that horrible scent is so strong that it gave me headaches. The smell follows you for hours....if it goes on your clothes...forget it, you are stuck with it! Also, people were asking me what do I smell, in a not so flattering way. But what I don't understand is the price. Yeah, we know that essential oils are expensive...but not that expensive! It doesn't do magic... it's just a balm that in the best case will give to a dry skin person some oiliness. There are so many other balms, oils, creams that are a fraction of the price and actually do sth on your skin. Please save your money.Report this review
Heaven in a jar
I bought this twice which is very rare for me and shows how much I adore this! I don't use this every day but only when my skin is sensitive or after a masking session. It's my first aid beauty product which I also apply to my body and yes, even on my toes! It's truly a miracle product and blue tansy is such a magical ingredient to help ease redness. The scent is also gorgeous and so dreamy.Report this review
Ridiculous price but amazing product
Received this in the Caroline Hirons box. Blue Cocoon saved my skin after an intense reaction from another product. My skin had dry, red patches that were itchy and extremely uncomfortable. A few days of using this and the affected areas healed almost immediately. Amazing stuff. Having said that, I don't know if it does anything remarkable for normal, healthy skin and is A LOT of money for just good hydration; as a lot of people have said, there are many other alternates out there. Will not buy again unless there's a great deal.Report this review
it works well but
I really don't like the smell and I can't work out what it smells of? Some sort of earthy, chocolatey, dusty, mildly spicy fragrance. Having said that it brings irritation down in one go, so I like it a lot especially when my skin is suffering. I just can't love it like I want to which is such a shame. If you are wondering if you should get it, I strongly suggest you go smell it first because it's a love/hate sort of smell. Everything aside from that - the texture and effect - gets a 10/10 from me!Report this review
Not worth the money just get a well formulated face oil for a third of the price
I tried this because it was in the Caroline Hirons box and it was the only time I would because the price is normally ridiculous. Honestly, it's just a solid face oil in my opinion. Not worth anywhere near the money. If you don't like fragrance, skip it. I am sure some people find the scent luxurious but for me, it was slightly nauseating, I will end up having this forever because I won't get it used because of the smell. I am wondering if I can use it as a first cleanse.Report this review

Utter heaven in a jar
I was always skeptical about May’s Lindstrom products, thinking that surely you can’t justify to spend that much on a balm? Surely the results can’t be that amazing? But this product is an utter joy. In all aspects. I saved up to place an order because it was one of those things I always had in my head that I wanted to try. I’m so glad I did. It has done incredible things for my combination/acne-prone skin. It has helped fade post-acne scarring, help heal blemishes, redness and smells like nothing I’ve ever smelt before. Not even in a spa. And I’ve only been using it for 10 days! I also sleep better when I used it, it relaxes the soul as well as the skin. I will have to save to re-purchase it, but it is worth it. I am a believer in investing in your skin, and for me this is an investment that pays off. Also, you only need the tiniest half-pea size. It will last you forever. I use it every night mixed in with my Hydrating Serum as I just can’t get enough of the results.Report this review
The biggest disappointment ever... my skin is combination, dehydrated, age 40. My skin become irritated and congested. I don't recommend this. Ladies: Think twice before you spend so much money. I also Tried Tata Harper, natural products and it's much better. So it's not like I do not tolerate natural cosmetics but definitely be careful with this.Report this review
