Even better, it’s made from sustainably sourced natural tree rubber, that’s cultivated via a process called rubber tapping that keeps the trees alive and can be reused for years. Made for movement, the mat boasts enhanced grip technology — it’s no good to have your feet slipping during the downward dog position! Crafted without silicone or phthalates, this antimicrobial, recyclable and biodegradable mat is even machine washable (follow the care instructions!) so you can keep it looking its best for longer.
Before you use your Maat, spritz a touch of water across the surface to enhance grip. After use, wipe down with water or a 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and water. Alternatively, you can place it in a delicate machine wash in cold water. To ensure the longevity of your Maat, we recommend avoiding bleach and softeners and excessive heat or direct sunlight. Air dry before rolling. The spirit of Maat is in tune with your spirit, live well and enjoy balance.

Love this mat but a bit slippy
I want to start out saying i love this mat and definitely don't regret my purchase. But I do find it a bit slippy which isn't ideal.and makes some poses tricky. I was never very clear from the directions whether you were to spritz it with water just the first time you use it or each time? I just did it the first time so maybe it is meant each use? Only thing is that doesn't seem very appealing when living in a cold damp dreary country when you are already cold.
