With a design inspired by Matisse, the Henri MAAT is a joy to unfurl. Even better, it’s made from sustainably sourced natural tree rubber, that’s cultivated via a process called rubber tapping that keeps the trees alive and can be reused for years. Made for movement, the mat boasts enhanced grip technology — it’s no good to have your feet slipping during the downward dog position! Crafted without silicone or phthalates, this antimicrobial, recyclable and biodegradable mat is even machine washable (follow the care instructions!) so you can keep it looking its best for longer.
Before you use your Maat, spritz a touch of water across the surface to enhance grip. After use, wipe down with water or a 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and water. Alternatively, you can place it in a delicate machine wash in cold water. To ensure the longevity of your Maat, we recommend avoiding bleach and softeners and excessive heat or direct sunlight. Air dry before rolling. The spirit of Maat is in tune with your spirit, live well and enjoy balance.

Fantastic mat!
I cannot recommend this yoga mat enough! It’s gorgeous! I use it daily for over a year and it looks as good as a new one. Henri Matisse motif colors and patterns are incredible!Â

Love it, but hard to keep very clean
GORGEOUS mat, I hope they restock soon as I want to buy another as a gift! Works excellently for warm and hot yoga - at the beginning of a class before you sweat, you might slip a bit more, but all fine once you've warmed up. Always get compliments on it. Only issue is it's somewhat hard to wash and keep clean - it says washing machine safe but doesn't fit into my washing machine!

Love this maat
I purchased this mat as I am trying to be more mindful of sustainability and the environment and liked the idea that this mat was not made of plastic or other man made fibres and also ensured that no trees were destroyed making this. When I received it I felt the surface of the mat and initially I was a bit worried that I had made a mistake as it's texture was a smooth and soft suede, and didn't seem to have the gluey texture my usual mats had so was concerned the functionality of the mat would be inferior and I wouldn't be able to do certain poses without sliding around. I followed the instructions of spraying the mat before starting with water all over and started my practice. I am now converted. Not only can I perform all the poses with ease without slipping, but the texture under my hands and feet feels much nicer. The mat is a beautiful piece of art as well as being functional and environmentally friendly. I am glad I decided to take the risk to purchase this as it definately paid off.
