Underrated! My absolute favourite lipstick !
I have finally decided to review these lipsticks after having used them for a year now. I own several of these shades and have repurchased a few several times. My skin tone is a mac NC44/ Estée Lauder 4W2 and the shades that suit me best are: Saint, Teddy Bear, Riot (everyday colours)
Wicked, Salem, Beet it, Fetish (bold colours)
If you’re my skin tone stay away from shroom, utopia, cashmere
I’ve tried pumpkin and cement and they look good but they’re not the type of colours I go for.
I’ve got the most compliments on Saint, Teddy bear and Salem. Wicked is also an amazing red that looks great on warm skin tones.
They are non-drying and feel comfortable on the lips.
The formula is very opaque and great for my pigmented lips.
Waterproof and transfer proof.
Without eating this lipstick would last all day. It fades from the inside when you eat, especially oily foods.
The quantity is less compared to other brands.
This brand is so underrated and needs to be hyped up more because these lippies are just too damn good.

Not the colour
I ordered the colour 'Saint' and it is more of a brown rather than a dark pink/red. Great quality but disappointed by that colour. (my natural lip colour is peachy red for reference)

I have the colours Pumpkin, New Americana, and Beet it. The colour is opaque, does not dry out my lips. Stays on for quite a while, of course, it gets melted by fatty foods. An absolute win for me!

amazing shades great texture
I have a number of Velvetines in a few different shades and the pigment never disappoints. Beautiful shades! My go-to brand for lip!
However, I've found that different batches of the same shade can differ - I have two in 'Wicked' and one formula seems to be a better quality than the other. They are also a little drying, but I just use a lip scrub after removing my makeup to keep my lips from chapping.

Great product but dry
I love the color and pigmentation of my lipstick in Bleached. It looks stunning and after it dries it is very long lasting. It can be a little on the dry side but my lips are not dry after wear, it just feels dry while wearing it.

great colour - dry
The colour of this is great. I bought the wicked shade- a very dramatic dark plum and thick coverage.
I agree with the other readers that it has a drying effect on the lips. If you don't reapply (I am not the type that usually bothers to reapply once I have gone out) the effect is very unbecoming.
I think I will try other colours in the future, as though it is not perfect, the colour on first application is stunning, a unique effect.

This is confusing
I own this lipstick in shade Polly. First of all, the picture of a colour was misleading, but I actually love the colour so much that I'm not even mad about it.
Then when it comes to actually wearing it...ugh. I can't wear it when I'm out all day - even though I put a thin layer on after 3-4 hours (no food yet) it starts kind of falling off in tiny flakes and it looks awful. When I eat it also comes off in the middle (I know, all matte lipsticks do, but with this one it feels really unpleasant). And when I try to fix it by putting more in the middle it just ruins my day - my lips feel like a desert, there are cracks all over the place, and it just doesn't look good at all.
I gave it 4 stars because I'm in love with the colour and it feels nice and velvety when you put the first layer on. I also know many people who don't find it as drying as I do, so I thought maybe it differs from shade to shade and from person to person.
My advice is if you find a colour that you absolutely love but not sure about the formula - get it, there's a great chance you will love it, and if you won't you'll still be able to wear it when you're out only for a couple of hours like I do now.

Red Velvet
Such a gorgeous shade however I wore this out once and it began crumbling on my lips within a few hours and flaked all over my face. Really disappointed as I've heard great things about these so I'm not sure if I received a faulty one.

The first company doing matte liquid lipsticks was Lime Crime. They had first mover advantage because everyone bought this new exciting product. Unfortunately everyone figured out how to formulate mattes better without being thick or crumbly. When Jeffery Star starting bringing out all his shades and then Kat Von D followed this brand just crumpled and has not recovered.

Chalky and Crumbly
I thought I'd give the Lime Crime Velvetines a try after seeing them everywhere. I bought the colour Wicked which is a beautiful deep burgundy colour. However that is where the pros end. This liquid lipstick has one of the worst formulas I have ever tried. It is chalky and crumbles off from the middle. I honestly wished I'd saved my money. Really regret this purchase.

Squash
I only have the 1 shade: squash and absolutely fall in love! Perfect for the autumn season, fits me well and love the formula too. However I am giving this a 4 star since the bottle is so small and you get a smaller amount of products for the same price range as other similar lvl liquid lipstick brands.I wish for this price the tube would be a little bit bigger or the price would be lower. I only plan to purchase from the more unique shades in the future.

Best Lipsticks on the market
I've been using these for over a year and they're the best lipsticks I've ever used. They feel really comfortable and last ages as well as being extremely pigmented. Nothing can beat them.

Some are a hit, others a miss
Ok, I have managed to accumulate a few of these now. I can safely say I have tested them all to a point where I can now leave a proper review. I find that liquid lipsticks are a very personal thing, they work for some people, fail for others.
Having said that, I love these, but only a few colours. For some reason, they all go on like a dream, super pigmented (you have to apply them properly, only one layer at a time, let it properly dry, do not smack your lips).
They are very light and not too drying (I find all liquid lipsticks drying anyway but these are not terrible).
Now, some colours will last all day (if you don't eat... if you do eat greasy food, you will have to touch up), other colours will start coming off half an hour after application.
I am particularly disappointed with the colour Bleached, beautiful colour, poor lasting power on my lips. Now the dark colours, oh my! I absolutely love them and this is the brand I always reach for when doing a dark red/berry lip or a dark purple.
Beet is absolutely to die for and I recommend that colour to everyone that likes a bold lip. After it dries down it looks even better and on me, it lasts all day, only need to touch up after I eat. Also, touch ups and reapplication is easy, no flaking or any other problems, probably because they are so liquidy and light.

I bought Red Velvet after I've tried friend's one and it looked good. Maybe the one I got was out of date. It applies OK, but when it dries, it dries really badly. It peels in patches off my lips and it feels horrible. The worst lipstick I've ever tried, liquid or otherwise. It puts one off wearing liquid lipstick altogether.

HAD BETTER
I was recommended this product by a friend & got the shade 'Buffy'. I absolutely love it, but I must say, it is a very watery consistency, it doesn't stay on all day.
But I do love how soft it makes my lips feels, unlike Jeffery Stars, who's lipstick in my fave, but it does dry my lips out if I don't use a lip scrub before hand. I would buy lime crime again as some of the shades are amaze.

Lovely formula, and not too drying, but I bought the shade "Riot", and it's nothing like the swatch. It's a dark red colour, very nice, but not what I was expecting or wanted.

Love love love!!
Definitely my favourite formula out of all the liquid lipsticks I've tried. And I've tried a lot. Shade teddy bear is absolutely gorgeous. The application is smooth and it doesn't flake. I also find it doesn't dry my lips out too much. Will definitely be trying more shades. :) :) :)

I've found the perfect liquid lipstick!!!
I've just received 'Pumpkin', and I'm absolutely amazed. The colour is spot on, a nice subtle reddy brown. Natural looking, but also giving enough colour, to be noticed. Great consistency, IT STAYS PUT ALL DAY AND WAY INTO THE EVENING. After giving it a hammering with lunch and drinks etc.
FOR SURE I'LL BE BUYING LOADS MORE ; )

I recently bought the shades Riot and Wicked, and I am very impressed! The packaging is mega cute and the colours are vibrant and last relatively long. However, as suspected with liquid lipstick, it can be very drying - be sure to use a lip scrub and chapstick before application!

Not so great...
I have several shades from this range - I own full-size versions of Bloodmoon and Posh, and minis of Beet It, Cindy and Vibe. I tried, I really tried! But these are just so inconsistent in a performance that I've decided not to buy from their lip range again, at least in this formula. Bloodmoon is an awful shade - it's extremely crumbly and virtually unwearable (thank goodness it was limited edition). The rest have good wear times, are transfer-proof, and are some really pretty shades, but they're so drying and it makes them uncomfortable to wear. Generally, they're just poor quality liquid lipsticks, and you can find much better dupes for the same price, or just a little more.

My favourite liquid lipstick formula
I love these lipsticks! In terms of liquid lipstick, I've found these to be the best out of all of those I've tried. The formula is great, doesn't take long to dry and stay on really well. I have Bleached, New Americana, Cupid and Faded and I love them all except Faded (it doesn't look purple at all in real life, so I found the photo really misleading). I would definitely recommend these lipsticks.

I have about 9 or 10 of these now in various shades and honestly I can't get enough! They all last so so long, amazingly easy to apply and don't dry my lips out too much. Of course I have to exfoliate them and use balm after wear, but they are just so amazing. It's such a shame the shade rustic isn't available on here...

waste of money
I ordered Pumpkin and the colour I got was totally different to the picture on the website, however, that’s not the worst part. When I received the item the bottle wasn’t even half full as I noticed when I left the bottle stood upright for several hours. Not worth £16!!

Disappointing formula
I also got a full size of this in pumpkin in a goody bag. The colour is amazing and very pigmented but the formula is appalling, extremely drying and uncomfortable. Very old-school matte lipstick. Shame!

The best matte lipsticks from many tested. The most comfortable formula. It is worth trying. The colour lasts all day even after eating. I am very pleased.

I have so many...
I own a bunch of these that I've collected over the last little while and I think they are my favourite liquid-matte lipstick formula that I've found. On the whole they are smooth and velvety and only slightly dry on the lips, I only find that they crumble if you apply too much. They last a reasonable amount of time, especially if you blot and top with a translucent powder (as I do with all matte lipsticks) but don't really stand up to much eating. I'm a big fan and will undoubtably buy more.

I bought the pumpkin shade and it is absolutely amazing. It stays through the day and has really pretty colour for fall. I am in love with it. It does not dry my lips at all.

I agree with the other reviewers, some are better than others. Some stay on like a dream, some crack and flake. I have three of my own and have concluded that the darker the colour, the better the formula is. They smell divine and look beautiful all in all.

Fetish (the one I have)
It crumbles, it transfers especially when you smack you lips, it is very drying and shows all the lines on your lips. It is extremely hard to wipe off and worst of all it applies streaky. Not happy at all. However it is a beautiful shade.

I got the shade "Riley" in the summer goody bag. This was very pigmented and opaque. I was disappointed in the way this colour wore off. Instead of fading evenly, the colour flaked leaving lips unevenly coloured.

My friend recommended this product and I got the shade 'Red Velvet'. I absolutely love this shade, and it gives your lips a soft feeling, but it doesn't stay on your lips all day.

I don't know if I got a faulty one but I bought mine in the colour bleached and was way too watery. Plus it's not transfer proof and leaves a sticky feeling on your lips which I personally don't like. I'll just stick to my Jouer lipsticks.

I bought one of these liquid lipsticks in the shade pumpkin. There is great pigment in these however there are two things that ruin this product for me. When I go to apply the lipstick it seems as if it's got a watery consistency and therefore is not easy to apply. The lipstick also has a horrible smell, like play dough, which you can smell throughout the day.

I bought Riot as a try out shade as my research into Lime Crime showed that it is one of the most wearable and popular shades from the brand.
Was pleasantly surprised at how easily it went on and the longevity: it stayed put for hours despite drinking and eating oily foods. No streakiness or cracking was seen, no need to reapply, but even if you do, it layers like a dream. It's by no means hydrating, but definitely one of the most comfortable liquid lipsticks I've worn. Having been through many different high end and other boutique brands, I can say with confidence that this is definitely the best liquid lipstick I've tried. Cannot recommend this enough. I've already ordered three more!!!

I haven't really experimented much with liquid lipsticks, so I can't really tell what the perfect formula would be like. However, out of all the ones I've tried (Sleek, Beauty Bakerie, Jouer, Maybelline, Rimmel) Lime Crime - although not perfect - worked the best for me.
I bought the shade Riot and it stayed on all day. It even survived my noodle-slurping at lunch! Reapplying throughout the day isn't really necessary, but when you do, it doesn't get all clumpy. It's quite drying, but not as bad compared to the other brands I have used so far.
I'd definitely go purchase more shades. :)
