I wanted to highlight a few things that would have been useful to know before purchasing.
1. Stating the obvious, but it's really really greasy. Not all pre-conditioners are, though, so I thought it worth pointing out. For instance, if you wanted to wear it at the beach to protect your hair from sun & sea, as I did, then it also renders it hideously, embarrassing greasy for most of the day.
2. It comes in a gorgeous, but quite heavy, glass bottle. Again, if you're taking it on holiday, you may want to decant into something less heavy and breakable.
3. Ah, decanting. Great, easy, no problem if the atmospheric temperature is around 24 degrees Celsius or higher, because at this kind of temperature the product is liquid. However, I live in the more temperate UK climate. I bought it when it was hot during the summer but when the temperature dropped a bit it turned into a solid. Obviously I can turn it into an oil again by heating it, but really, that's quite a faff and it ceases to be a super-helpful cult product, more of a slightly fiddly item that may or may not do the job properly, because it's too much of a fiddle to really find out.
It smells divine, on the plus side. I wish it were a perfume or body oil.
