I bought this with all the positive reviews online however I just don’t understand why my brush applies foundation streaky even after every wash, I’ve tried various methods of cleaning to with different shampoos and makeup brush cleansers but it still applies so streaky

Amazing brush
When I first started using this, I admit I wasn’t a fan. It seemed to soak up more foundation than what was put on my face. I have now realised that it suits a slightly thicker foundation, rather than a more liquid/serum type foundation on my skin. It is absolutely amazing on my CT Beautiful skin, or NARS tinted moisturiser with SPF and you use far less product. I finally understand why this is so popular and it’s definitely worth the price tag.

I have to admit that this brush is crazy good. It blends my foundation so nicely and better than any other brush I’ve ever used. It’s also a really good size and can fit under your eyes or anywhere on your face. It can be used for pretty much anything. You could just use this brush for your whole routine if you wanted. The price is very extortionate though. And although it is a very good brush, it’s hard to justify when there are other brushes out there that can also blend out your foundation nicely. But if you plan on only using this brush, it may be worth it if you aren’t buying any others.

favourite foundation brush
I bought one of these for myself, and then I was doing my mums makeup and she immediately asked me to get another one for her. This brush is sooo soft on the face and gentle on the skin, compared to some other dense brushes which feel like you’re slapping yourself with a brick, so you can really buff product in until it smooth and even. The density also allows you to use so much less product - i’ve used it with liquids and creams and it’s great for both, even fussier formulas (like the milk hydrogrip skin tint which has pilled with other brushes and sponges). It is expensive, but i think hourglass brushes are worth their price; they don’t shed, the handles don’t get worn down and gross, and they last literally forever
