Love it
5Amazing cleansing balm. I can't believe I didn't try it before! Yes, it's expensive but it's truly such a lush ritual. I can't believe people are trying to use it for makeup removing......with such gorgeous ingredients why wasting it for makeup! I use it as a second cleanse and take my time to give myself a mini massage Really wanna try more de mamiel stuff now!!

Nothing compares to this
5I thought, that after 5 repurchases, this was due a review. This cleansing balm is incredible. I love the consistency, it works very well to remove make up (never waterproof due to very sensitive eyes), my sensitive skin loves it and the smell is divine. Also, I use it on everything: scabs, sunburn, on a fresh tattoo to heal it very well, on fresh operation scars that have improved tremendously and I often use it as a night cream after a good peel. Now I can't live without the smell at night anymore. I will repurchase it FOREVER! Btw, using a tiny amount is enough. Despite using it every day and for numerous tasks, I go through one pot in about 4-5 months. I've used other cleansing balms (Emma Hardie, REN, skin&tonic, Moa, Sunday Riley) during the last years (and I like Oskia's Renaissance cleansing gel in the morning), but nothing compares to the healing, sensual properties of this product.

Heavenly scent but...
3I would really have love to rate this with 5 stars, but sadly, I can't. First the good things: this must be the most beautifully packaged cleanser I had yet, I love the balck and sea blue design and the heavy black jar. What I also love is the absolutely fantastic scent with this blend of essential oil. It really does feel like the most luxurious organic spa scent. It's relaxing, uplifting and gets more and more wonderful while using it. I also loved the melting texture of this. You put it onto your face and it really melts into your skin and it'spure joy to massage it in for a while. Now for the down points for me: first of, this does not really cleanse off mascara very well. I'm only using non-waterproof mascara which goes off very lightly normaly, but no matter how long I massage this balm on, it just leaves a black panda mass all around my eyes and I have to clean it away in a second step with another cleanser. And the main down point for me is that yes, it does leave the skin very clean after washing it off but it really is quite harsh for sensitive and dry skin. After the second use and after I dried my skin after washing, it was super dry and so tight it almost hurt. I used it just once a day at night for four days and got red dry and slightly flaky patches on my cheeks and around my mouth. As I haven't changed anything else in my skincare routine lately it can just be the de Mamiel balm I'm afraid. This definitely isn't suitable very much for dry skin types I guess. So, this is a wonderfully scented cleansing balm but I know just use it once a week for intensive cleansing.

I wanted to love it, but i didn't
2I bought this after finishing my jar of Farmacy - Green Clean, which i LOVED. Sadly this just doesn't match up :( I don't love the smell and although it's undoubtedly moisturising, it doesn't leave my skin feeling really clean and remove makeup completely like Green Clean did. As the balm doesn't emulsify at all, I have to use very hot water on my flannel to wash it off, which isn't great, otherwise it leaves a grimy makeuppy film on your face, which becomes evident when I wash my skin again in the morning and my flannel still shows traces of makeup (and I wear very light makeup!)

Best cleanser of its kind
5Hands down this is the best cleanser of its kind. I am a convert to the cleansing balm craze and tried a ridiculous number of them. I have changed to natural products only and this product is the best of all of them -natural or chemical. Love the smell. Love the consistency. Love the soft skin feeling after washing it off. Great as a night cleanser -I use as a second cleanse to keep the oils on my face; seems a waste to wipe them off and lose the benefits. I can see this as my go-to Autumn to Spring night cleanser but I would prefer something different for Summer. Great to decant into a jar for travel too. This will definitely be a staple in my bathroom despite the cost. It is effective and I actually look forward to using it of an evening. On my third jar.

Fabulous
5This was my very first cleansing balm and I adore it. It melts right into the skin and removes makeup easily. It also smells divine, a light refreshing lemony scent. Just ordered my second jar today!

Works ok but...
3...smells like furniture polish. I love essential oils, but sadly, this (crazy expensive) blend reminds me of housecleaning not spa day.

Best cleanser
5This cleanser smells heavenly and is a joy to use. It is packed with wonderful and potent ingredients and leaves the skin supple, soft, hydrated and luminous. This the best balm cleanser I've come across. It is a must especially during colder months.
