Taking its name from two quintessentially Italian concepts, the sustainable, apothecary-style collection is an ode to the meticulous methods of traditional barbers so you can emulate a professional shave at home.
An absolute essential for any shaving ritual, this Pasta & Love - Softening Shaving Gel from Davines facilitates a swift, close and gentle shave; the gel-to-foam formula is of 85.8% natural origin and calls on gentle surfactants, as well as organic cutleaf groundcherry extract and organic alchechengi extract, to soften your skin.
The entire Pasta & Love line shares a distinctive, citrusy scent that acts as a nod to the Mediterranean with its notes of lemon, bergamot and orange blossom. Each formula is also enriched with an extract of organic alchechengi - a plant native to Brazil - that's gained through a green technology method that facilitates a purer concentrate and a reduced environmental impact; as for the ingredient itself, it lends the range its impressive soothing properties in order to help fight redness and shaving irritation. Partly crafted from recycled glass - 34% deriving from post-consumption and 24% deriving from industrial waste - the Pasta & Love bottles are proud to generate less environmental impact (and look mighty suave as they do!). What's more, Davines are committed to offsetting the CO2 emissions generated by the production of all the packaging in the line with their EthioTrees project, which involves the reforestation of natural reserves in the northern region of Ethiopia at risk of desertification.
Dispense gel onto palms and distribute the foam on damped face and neck in an even layer using circular movements, then shave. rinse thoroughly in case of contact with eyes.

Clean and fresh
Second purchase of this shaving gel. Little pricey but very much with it. Smells so fresh and clean. Gives a nice close shave and the scent lingers in the air after showering. Would recommend.

My new shaving gel of choice
I was using Molton brown shaving gel but they decided to discontinue it without warning. Nevermind as this is better. Lovely close shave and a great smell that reminds me of a professional barbers. This is my new go to shaving gel.Â

Shaving Gel
Been on the hunt for a decent shaving gel instead of the drug store options... I have to say this ticks all the boxes! It’s a lovely lightweight foam (dispenses as a gel) that smells like lemons, softening as it promises. I am a female, and the scent is somewhat masculine I suppose but it washes off and such things don’t bother me anyway. The packaging is stunning too. All I have to do now is buy the husband his own bottle!
