The mood behind D.S. & Durga’s Breakfast Highlands Candle: an intimate morning, sheltered from gusts of wind that hug the grass-tufted hills, cosy and warmed by the aga — thumbing the crisp pages of the Sunday paper as you wait for breakfast to be ready.
Encased in peach tinted glass with a monochrome illustration that captures quite perfectly the spirit of its scent, each of D.S. & Durga’s evocative candles is designed to look chic on your mantlepiece as it transports you to a moment in time. This light-hearted yet evocative scent melds top notes of oats, biscuit and hay absolute, heart notes of scotch marmalade and strong tea and base notes of heather honey, toast and gorse; it’s a scent that is both hearty and cosy — like nothing you’ve ever smelt before.
It is important to trim wick before each use. When using the candle for the first time, keep the candle alight until the entire surface is covered in liquid wax. This should take approximately one hour and will ensure a more effective, even burn for all future uses.

Heavenly
Massive DS&Durga fan, working my way through their candles. This is currently 4th (Rama, Tuberose Myrrder and Breakfast Leipzig come ahead in my scoring). This is complex and warming and lovely.

Nice candle
This candle smells a bit more masculine than I expected from the description, but I still really enjoyed it, definitely a unique scent and lasts long. I also love the packaging, it fits great into my interior.Â
