Now… I love it
The texture of this is great! its like unseen screen but for oily skin It has almost a powdered velvety finish to it so it’s really (finally!!) a sunscreen for oilier skin! It keeps me relatively shine free almost all day There is no grey/white cast as it is very slightly tinted but I’m also very pale so I can’t comment for darker skin tones. My only two gripes. This took work to find the right routine. I cannot use over certain products as it will pill so bad. Anything with a powder base such as vitamin c or if you have too many silicones in your skincare… this is not going to pair well with I also wish that spf was higher. 30 is just not going to cut it for me in warmer months so I will have to find another for summer. Over all this is great, but you may have to play with your routine to get it to work.

Love but be warned if you have facial hair!
Bought this as I searched for the best mineral sunscreen as I want to avoid the harsh and often irritating chemicals found in most suncreams (e.g. Octocrylene). This is a delight to use and smells lovely - feels like it also calms the skin due to the cucumber. Two words of caution, however - 1) shake the tube intensely before each use (otherwise the consistency will be off and you may end up with a ruined product in the long term), and 2) if you have facial hair (as I do) be careful when applying as the ‘mineral’ nature of this sunscreen is very visible on facial hair. As such, I apply artfully on my forehead, nose, cheeks and neck before working in to the skin. You don’t need much (and if you use too much, it will leave a white caste!)

Does the job
This was my first mineral SPF and it was a great start! You need to spread it properly otherwise it might leave some white bits behind. It's quite thick and a bit grainy but when applied goes smoothly and it's very lightweight. Overall a great product, I was very pleased that my money was well spent since it's not a cheap SPF!

Great for sensitive skin
My skin is pretty sensitive and I get an allergic reaction to most suncreams. This sunscreen is the best I’ve tried - my skin doesn’t react to it at all, it doesn’t break me out, and it provides effective protection from the sun! I think it does leave a slight white cast but it isn’t very noticeable on my skin and doesn’t bother me. The texture can be a bit dry sometimes, but usually if you shake the tube well it is fine. The main negative is I find the product can peel when used with certain other products underneath. Overall it is a great sunscreen for sensitive skin, I have repurchased many times as I love that is doesn’t cause a reaction on my skin!

Awesome product
So often I end up with a facial suncream that doesn't absorb fully and then with the heat ends up sweating and it gets in my eyes (quite painful!) but not this - its perfect - stayed on, a good SPF factor and smells lovely

Very drying
I'm disappointed in the texture and how this makes my skin feel once I wash it off - it's so dry that I need to wash my hands after I apply or put hand lotion on. Won't buy again.

Coola mineral cucumber sunscreen
I have been using it for quite some time and I grew fond of it. I like the mattifying effect, suitable for my combination skin. I really recommend it.

Leave a white cast and is very drying.
It leaves a white cast, and it also is very drying. I have 'normal' skin and no skin problems so I can't understand any comments that say this is a good product!! Do not recommend.

Coola mineral sunscreen.
So long as you remember to shake the bottle first this is a great consistency, with no heaviness or residual white cast. I have combination skin and I find it gives a welcome mattifying effect. I haven’t used it in strong sunlight yet so I can’t comment on effectiveness in the sun, but so far i’m a convert. Happy to have found a great eco-friendly product.
