After ten years working in the fast-paced fashion industry, CENTRED.’s founder, Laura Tudor, felt exhausted. And not only was she strung out, overtired and overwhelmed, but the toll of her high-stress career was impacting her physical health; after a few particularly frantic months, her hair had begun to fall out, which is why, with the help of her husband (and hair stylist) Kieran Tudor, she set out to learn about what she could do to ‘undo’ the effects without compromise – which meant natural, vegan, cruelty-free treatments to not only halt the hair loss but to stimulate growth and preserve her hair’s health and resilience. Entirely free from the usual suspects (you won’t find a sulphate or silicone here), CENTRED,’s Daily Calma Shampoo is much more than a cleanser – this plant-powered formula gently dissolves daily build-up and grime while providing a much-needed moment of respite (aaaand breathe).
With every ingredient spoken for (the brand justifies every inclusion), this formula comes with a Vegan Society seal of approval, and is made with 91.3% plant-based ingredients. With a coconut base that effortlessly generates a rich, indulgent lather, this mild yet effective shampoo swiftly sweeps away oils, dirt and debris… as well as your everyday stresses. Love it!
I love this shampoo as I have a sensitive scalp and quite dry hair so I often find shampoos for dry hair can irritate my scalp but this one is perfect! It has a really nice but subtle fragrance which I love and lathers really well. Leaves my hair feeling cleansed and soft, will definitely be purchasing more.

Lovely gentle shampoo
I bought this shampoo as my scalp is quite sensitive and I saw that it contained Aloe Vera and Chamomile and has no harsh sulphates and I have to say I love it and my scalp does too. It creates a really nice lather which is nice for SLS free shampoos and I feel my hair is getting better the more I am using it as I also bought the en-root scalp oil too. My hair is medium thickness and prone to being a bit dry so it seems to really suit me.

Mediocre
I was expecting this shampoo to restore some shine and gloss to my fine hair, which has got very dry recently. However it is no better than other shampoos, which I’ve tried that are cheaper. I have also used the conditioner- it is very thick but doesn’t improve my hair either. Disappointing products.

Lovely shampoo
I have very sensitive skin, so the same goes for my scalp and I'm always on the hunt for a new gentle option to try. This one is free of SLS and heavy fragrance which I love, it has a nice lather that leaves my hair clean, soft, and fresh. I really enjoy that it doesn't strip or alter my hair colour and that a small amount goes a long way. I can't give it 5 stars because they are other shampoos that I prefer, but I absolutely can't fault this one!

Not worth the money
This shampoo dried my hair and even with the conditioner it was just a frizzy mess really expected more from this

Not for me
I really struggle with a lot of shampoo if I'm honest and this was sadly no different. Just leaves my hair greasy within a day and the conditioner is too thick its impossible to get out the bottle. Really not for me, but as I say, most shampoo doesn't go well with my hair for some reason, its very fussy.

Oh dear
I have fine, long, straight hair which isn't dyed. This shampoo was unfortunately an utter disaster for me. After using it my hair looked dirtier than it was before I showered? I've tried using less, and more, product but same result - looks immediately greasy and dull and stiff. Initially I thought I hadn't rinsed it out properly but turns out it was just how the shampoo worked for me. Pity because it was not cheap!

Already a fan
Really, really enjoy this shampoo! A huge plus this being sulfate and silicone-free with a great lather! I feel that their similar shampoos (even good) don't lather well and it's a bit of a mission. I Will repurchase for sure!
