Best SPF ever. Even including the Asian ones.
I’ve long been a fan of Shiseido’s Anessa suncare range but I ran out before my family could send me some from abroad so I had to buy a sunblock as soon as possible. I went through the whole of cult beauty and saw that this was one of the very few gel ones - so I tried it. And I am absolutely hooked. (Gels are the best for SPFs as they are not sticky and do not leave any residue, and are also very comfortable on the skin) This applies like a dream - a tiny, tiny amount goes a long way - and feels so good on the skin. Soothes and hydrates, and makeup will apply very easily and nicely on it. If it wasn’t so so expensive, I would only ever use this! I highly recommend this product, your skin will thank me

Way too much fragrance
Another brand throwing overpowering and unnecessary fragrance into their products. Not good for my sensitive skin. It is lightweight. But I’t made my face tingle and burn. Thankfully I had this as a tester and had not spend on the full tube. I guess the search goes on for a lightweight sunscreen that will work for me….

Just a bit…meh
This is the most expensive sunscreen I’ve ever bought so I was expecting big things, especially after reading the other reviews. Unfortunately, it’s not ‘the one for me. The texture is light and it did sink into my skin nicely; however, within an hour or so my face was so shiny regardless of whether I had makeup on or not. I also found the smell really overpowering; it’s a strong rose scent and it just feels unnecessary. On the plus side, I have spent quite a lot of time outdoors whilst wearing it and it has protected my very fair skin. The search for the perfect SFP 50 continues!

Really quite nice
Now, this is a really quite lovely SPF. It is lightweight, doesn't feel drying on yet, doesn't appear greasy or oily at all either. It didn't leave a white cast on my brown skin, nor did it change at all during the course of the day - in fact, it almost helped to blur my skin, so I can see why it would make a great makeup base. My only gripe with it is the smell - I really think it distracts from the product and gives it almost a dated feel sensorially.

This is definitely the best SPF I've used on my face. I think it's quite rare for a product to live up to its claims fully, and perform like a dream - but this does. It's truly invisible, and I have Medium/tan skin, it sits great on top of my skincare and actually is a spectacular primer! My makeup (keep in mind I'm doing a full skincare routine, priming, baking and setting with spray) lasts about 15 hours and still looks great when I get home. Its great to know that I'm getting that SPF50 protection as well as looking cute! n.b. the only other primer I've tried recently that gives me similar wear and finish is the Milk Hydro Grip (also spectacular performance)

Perfect SPF
I'd been looking for an SPF50 face cream for ages which wouldn't look white or make my skin break out. This is exactly what I was looking for! It's super light, makes my skin glow and feels lovely on. It's not cheap but only a small amount is needed so I expect it will go a long way.
