For irritated, itchy or flakey scalps in need of some serious relief, Briogeo’s Scalp Revival MegaStrength+ Dandruff Relief Shampoo Charcoal + AHA/BHA is on hand to detoxify, soothe and exfoliate right at the root — while also nourishing lengths. With a ‘skin care for your scalp’ philosophy driving this hardworking formula, anti-dandruff shampoo is has officially been made sexy (no, we didn’t think it was possible either!). The best part? Briogeo *knows* curly hair — which means this clever shampoo can be used on wavy, curly and coily hair, without ridding strands of the much-needed moisture needed for those hair types to flourish.
Providing a gently cleansing exfoliation, the Scalp Revival MegaStrength+ Dandruff Relief Shampoo Charcoal + AHA/BHA is specifically formulated for those with scalp itching, irritation, redness or flaking due to dandruff, psoriasis, and seborrheic dermatitis.
You’ll probably recognise some of your favourite skin care ingredients within this innovative formula — your scalp is just an extension of the skin on your face and body after all. 3% salicylic acid (a beta-hydroxy acid) and hydrating lactic acid (an alpha-hydroxy acid) gently slough away dead skin calls on your scalp that can cause itchiness and flakiness, while also lifting away dryness, excess oils, product build up, and dirt. To really prevent your hair follicles getting clogged up with impurities, products and excess sebum (this can cause that itchiness and irritation!), there’s also binchotan charcoal which detoxifies your scalp and draws out all that build up. The result? A happy, healthy and flake-free head of hair!
Gentle enough for daily use. For best results, use at least twice a week or as directed by a doctor or physician. Massage into wet scalp and hair to build lather, then rinse.

Helps with itching
I bought this after an unfortunate incident with over perfumed shampoo that caused extreme itching of my scalp. This shampoo helped immediately and left my scalp feeling clean but balanced with no itching or irritation. I didn’t have a lot of dandruff to begin with but what I had disappeared after about 2 weeks of using this shampoo twice a week so I would say hooray! Overall, I would recommend it.The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is its price which is a little too high with what I’m comfortable paying for a shampoo.Â
Report this reviewThe best Dandruff Shampoo I’ve Ever Tried
I’ve tried medicated shampoo on prescription and numerous alternative brands for dandruff and this absolutely tops them all. I suffer from psoriasis and it really affects my scalp when I’m stressed. After one wash with Briogeo the telltale flakes were completely gone and my hair not only smelt amazing but felt lovely. It’s an expensive choice but 100% worth the price. I rave about this stuff to everyone!Â
Report this reviewDoesn’t work
This didn’t work- for me. It may work on others but it’s a rather expensive experiment. Nice enough shampoo but didn’t even touch my dry scalp. Perhaps even made it worse. Used a number of times to test.Â
Report this reviewHelping my unbalanced head
Since putting down the bleach bottle and growing out my natural hair colour my scalp has been pretty undecided on who it wants to be. She is itchy some days, flaky others and loves upping the oil game sooner than I'd like her to. I don't have an issue with product build up so find some oil and dandruff control shampoos very stripping but Briogeo has swept in with yet another efficacious product. The BHA/AHA blend is gently exfoliating whilst the tea tree and peppermint oil soothed my scalp. I noticed a reduction in flakiness and itchiness after one use and I'll be sticking with this to see how long term this will help balance my scalp. Highly recommend if you're struggling to find a solution to your hair care woes.
