a genuine hair oil

I really appreciate that this hair oil is made from a blend of different nourishing oils- most products marketed as hair oils are actually silicone-based hair serums with a tiny bit of oil towards the end of the ingredients list. The oil does have a very strong sweet berry scent reminiscent of 90s lip smackers. To me it smells delicious and nostalgic but it might not be your cup of tea if you don't like strong smells or you have allergies. I have low porosity hair so this works best for me if I use it sparingly. It does weigh my hair down if I use too much. I think this would be far better suited to curly or coily hair types, and in fairness I think the brand makes it clear that is who the product is aimed at. Overall, if you have dry, coarse or curly hair that leans towards a higher porosity, you might love this. I also love the design of the packaging.

Good Oil for Hair Massage

I bought this as a finishing oil but it’s too heavy and thick for that. However, it’s a great oil to massage into scalp before a shower. Makes my hair nice and smooth after washing it off.

This oil smells so good! I use it on wash day and coat my hair in it for a couple of hours before washing. I find it makes my coarse hair softer.
