London born and bred, Earl of East is the home fragrance brand with community at the heart. Initially starting as a side hustle for partners Niko Dafkos and Paul Firmin, the duo have created their own collection of interesting candles, diffusers, mists and more. Becoming a mecca for those in the nose the brand’s unique scents spaces. Plus, each candle is hand poured in London, made from soya wax, fitted with an unbleached cotton wick and are infused with essential and fragrance oils.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Starting as a side hustle from their shared love of home fragrances, Earl of East founders Niko Dafkos and Paul Firmin began selling home-made candles and vintage nick-nacks they sourced from their travels, on market stall in East London in 2014. Gaining traction and a small following, the duo decided to open a brick-and-mortar store, collaborating with small independent brands that abided by the their four pillars of ‘create’, ‘curate’, ‘collaborate’ and ‘community.’ Earl of East’s flagship store now runs candle-making workshops for professionals and fragrance-lovers — so that everyone can discover unique home aromas and interesting scent combinations.
