The Founding Vision

‘In 1952, Gaby Aghion founded Chloé fashion House with a new vision: to liberate women’s bodies from the strict dictates of haute couture. Guided by her intuition, she redefined womenswear, introducing a fashion of freedom, breaking away from the French houses of the time. Gaby Aghion looked at fashion through a different lens, and Chloé's fragrance collection, Atelier des Fleurs, reveals ingredients from a new perspective. Atelier des Fleurs explores free-spirited, instinctive beauty, driven by emotion.

The Fragrance Concept

‘While Chloé’s main fragrance lines are floral fragrances that embody the instinctive and true-to-self Chloé woman — a signature of the Maison — the Atelier des Fleurs collection is inspired by the effortless femininity that defines Chloé’s fashion. Designed as a creative space, it reveals the unknown facets of well-known flowers, merging nature with culture in a spirit of artistic effervescence. Each fragrance is dedicated to a single ingredient, revealing its unexpected facet.

Together with celebrated perfumers like Quentin Bisch and Louise Turner, we bring to life rare expressions of familiar blooms, capturing their soul with grace and authenticity.

Our Technical Perfumers and Fragrance Evaluators combine scientific expertise with a deep understanding of nature, carefully selecting and balancing each ingredient — whether natural or synthetic — to craft fragrances that reflect Chloé’s values of authenticity, elegance, and environmental responsibility. Guided by our commitment to innovation and respect for nature, we also integrate upcycled carbon ethanol — a pioneering ingredient that reduces environmental impact while preserving the purity and elegance of our creations.

‘Each fragrance in the Chloé Atelier des Fleurs collection offers a unique reinterpretation of a key ingredient from the perfumer’s palette, and the scents are intentionally designed to pair with one another. The collection invites you to compose your personalised Chloé fragrance as if arranging your favourite blossoms in a bouquet. Each perfume reveals a single floral, aromatic or woody note rooted in the perfumer’s memory, and can be worn alone like a corsage to celebrate its vitality and intensity — or combined endlessly to create a personalised scent. We recommend starting with your favourite flower, then adding complementary scents — like foliage or woods — to enrich the composition. There are no wrong combinations, making it a beautiful way to create a gift or a signature scent for any occasion.
