Alongside this is vitamin C - more specifically 'Blue Algae Vitamin C', which uses l-ascorbic acid sourced from popular superfood spirulina. This targets hyperpigmentation, fading discoloration and leaving a clarified, brighter complexion in its wake. To add even more nourishment to skin, the serum also contains antioxidant-rich vitamin E and moisture-slurping hyaluronic acid.
After cleansing, apply 1-2 pumps to entire face, neck and décolleté. For optimal results follow with a moisturiser. Use only as directed.

Not sure about the colour
strange colour, but that’s possibly due to the algae and vitamin c. Nice texture, hasn’t irritated or broken out my skin. It’s only been a few days so not long enough for dark spots but skin is looking brighter.

Nice but not for me
Really nice watery serum that sinks into my combo acne-prone skin quickly. It does last a while so that's nice, but it's still pricey. Has a really strong pineapple scent but it hasn't caused me any breakouts. Was my first vitamin c product but haven't really noticed a difference in my skin so wouldn't repurchase.

Fabulous Product
As a mum of 2 young boys, I rarely get any time to myself. I had noticed that I was starting to look quite haggard, so it was time to take action and save my face! I trawled through the options available on CB website, and this product appealed to me. After 2 weeks of use, I'm truly taken aback by how much healthier my complexion is. My skin looks brighter and more radiant for sure. This serum is a pretty grim colour (think baby poo) but it smells divine (ginger and pine forest vibes). It absorbs well, and blends effortlessly with any moisturiser I've used over it. This algae product will be a regular in my daily routine from now on. I'm a happy customer!

Daily Glow
I am a bit fan of vitamin C in my morning routine, but in general, tend to stay away from ascorbic acid specifically as my skin is so sensitive. This serum doesn't cause any irritation, it absorbs beautifully into the skin and leaves a lovely glow too. I've dropped one star just because I'm not a big fan of the strong botanical scent but this does disappear quickly after applying.

OK, ALGENIST!!!!!!!!!!
I got this based off the other reviews. I really wanted to introduce a Vitamin C into my routine but was hesitant as I tend to react to vitamin C products and break out. I'm quite pale and spots leave a deep red pigmentation on my face, and can sometimes stay for months after the spot has gone. I have been using this for less than a week and WOW, I can't quite believe it ! my skin isn't clear - YET, but when I tell you its already removed smaller pigmentation marks, its blown my mind! I'll do an update after using it for a little longer but so far, so amazing. Its a product I look forward to using and can't wait to see how my skin looks after continuous use!

Great Vitamin C
A great serum from Algenist which I've always found to be a really reliable brand. No adverse reactions and skin is left consistently clear and glowy. The serum is packed in a completely airtight container so I assume remains v. stable (although obviously the plastic packaging is not eco friendly). The smell is quite herbal and there's no fragrance. Its quite pricey but I was pleased with the product. Â

Hydrating vitamin C
Vitamin C that remains stable in packaging throughout product use, that is also hydrating with the hyaluronic acid. Sits well under make up. Herbal scent that is a lot nicer than most vitamin C serums (no underlying hot dog water smell). Makes skin brighter over time. Have bought multiple timesÂ

Best Vit C
I bought this about a month ago and have used it every other day I'd say and OMG it is hands down the best Vit C I have ever used, it has a bit of a gingery smell which I actually quite like - but it has already faded some of my most recent 'picking' scars, scabs, and discolouration. I will not be buying any other Vit C (it works beautifully with the Alegnist Collagen Calming Relief Cream too).
