Love the shampoo, not so much the packaging
This is a fantastic shampoo! I was using Augustinus Bader’s shampoo, which is great, but as it’s very much on the pricey side I wanted to look at other cheaper options. I was a bit hesitant because Act+Acre’s other shampoo had mixed reviews, especially about it being oily and leaving some people’s hair feeling greasy, but this shampoo leaves my hair so soft and clean that I’ve been able to extend my wash days by a few more days. It has a pleasant fragrance, and lathers really well. For lack of a better word, the lather feels luxurious — deeply moisturising even though it’s supposed to cleanse It didn’t strip my long, dry, coloured, wavy hair, but left it feeling clean and hydrated. I’m really impressed with the range of products so far. I have only used their scalp serum and was pleased with the results, so I decided to try out their shampoo after I ran out of mine. One thing I don’t like is the packaging - it feels like cheap plastic (I don’t mind if it’s plastic as it’s recyclable) but the plastic feels really thin like it could be easily damaged. The nozzle kept slanting downwards and wouldn’t screw on properly, making it look crooked. The pump was stuck in the beginning too and was a pain to pop open. For an expensive product I expect the packaging as bare minimum to be decent, not with all these design flaws. Other than that, the shampoo itself is great.
