A REAL CHANGE!

ALTHOUGH IT DOES FEEL A BIT LIKE RUBBING LEMON INFUSED COOKING OIL IN YOUR FACE, A SMALL AMOUNT GOES A LONG WAY AND FROM USING IT APPROX 1 WEEK, I'VE NOTICED MY SKIN IS CERTAINLY BRIGHTER, DEWIER AND CLEARER THAN IT'S BEEN IN AGES! I DON'T FIND THE SMELL THAT OFFENSIVE AT ALL - NOT SURE WHAT THE SMELL-RELATED FUSS IS ALL ABOUT - IT'S LEMONY, YES - BUT CITRUS IS QUITE CLEAN AND REFRESHING AND IT'S NOT OVERLY OFFPUTTING. IT IS QUITE STICKY BUT HASN'T MADE ME BREAK OUT AND I HAVE COMBINATION SKIN, THROUGH AND THROUGH (DRY NOSE, NORMAL CHEEKS, OILY T-ZONE). I'VE JUST BOUGHT 'GOOD GENES' AND THESE PRODUCTS AREN'T CHEAP SO I THINK I MUST BE IMPRESSED TO PAY OUT EVEN MORE :-)

Oil is ok, but it smells awful

2

The product is not bad, a little too thick to blend it properly around the face so you have to put on more than other oils. The results are ok but the smell is really awful, very strong and lasting. I really prefer Clarins oils to Artemis, not only half the price and they smell lovely, they are easier to apply too.

Detoxying & spot clearing

5

If you're looking for a flawless face, then purchase this! Every time I stop using this I become prone to breakouts. When I start using this again, a few days later my spots vanish. Minimal ingredients are used which is great for sensitive skin, just wish it didn't come along with a hefty price tag!

Not so great

2

I was excited to use this Sunday Riley product specifically for its long list of ingredients to clear and brighten the skin. I used it for three days to give it a chance but I didn't feel any difference in my skin. Applying it was tricky as it isn't a smooth oil type...it's more of a sticky serum with a strong smell. So you can't really massage it in properly as it pulls and tugs on the skin as you do so...not very pleasant. It just sits on on your skin all day so it's not "virtually weightless" nor does it "absorb quickly" as stated. You feel it there...and you smell it all day too. If it rubs off on your clothes when your changing expect your clothes to smell of it as well. Only thing I liked was the packaging.

Artemis oil

First of all I think the oil has an amazing effect on my skin. Hard to explain but when I use it my skin just looks better the next morning. However. The smell is vile! I can't bear it, I can't possibly buy this again. I've tried mixing it with other more pleasantly scented oils. Nope. Makes no difference.

A Little Heavy, but a must for 'That Glow'

4

I own all of the Sunday Riley Oils and though this one is the recommended one for 'Oily/Acne prone skin' its not my favourite of the 4. This oil has a strong scent which comes from the lemongrass, so if you are not a fan of herby smells then you might not like this. I personally am a huge fan of the lemongrass scent, but the smell doesn't completely dissipate, so keep that in mind. This is a really thick oil, unlike the rest which have a fluid texture so if you dive straight in to applying on your face it can feel heavy and leave it feeling heavy and congested. I find applying it to my skin a 'small sections' really helps, as it gives the oil time to warm up to the temperature of my fingers therefore blending into the skin better. Apply one drop and gently press into the skin until absorbed ( note this does not completely absorb ). The result by morning is beautiful, luminous radiant looking skin that looks healthy, full of life and feels super soft. Make sure you do cleanse in the morning though as this oil can leave you congested making blackheads worse.

Great for oily-acne skin

4

This is a wonderful oil for problematic, congested, acne-prone skin- for me the issue is that as I have very dry skin I have to mix it with other oils that provide the hydration I need. As such it's best for oily/acne skin but other skin types can still make it work but adding other oils. Some say purely using black seed oil does the job, which may be so, but this is a luxurious treat that I like having in my closet and I'm now on my third bottle.

Disappointed

3

Having using another of Sunday's oil, I was looking forward to this. However, I was in for a disappointment. Firstly, it is not a pleasant smell, but I tried to get over that as all the reviews and recommendations rave about the effects. Then it was hard to use, super thick. I managed to get round that and mixed with a moisturizer. The last issue I had with it was my white bed sheets are now marked with oil stains and cannot be removed. Now 18 months on, I am only half way through bottle as I only use it once or twice a week. I do not enjoy using it but I refuse to through money away! Overall, effects are the skin is smoother, plumper but there are other oils that do that to.

Wow!

I'm not a stranger to oils, I've used a variety of them as part of my evening skin care routine for a good 5 plus years and they've always been nice. I was going to buy Sunday Riley's Luna night oil as I had heard glowing feedback on some vlogs on you tube. In the end I actually went for the Artemis oil and I'm glad I did. I have never used anything oil, moisturiser, serum that has made the instant impact this did. I'm 39 and I felt like my skin was looking a bit tired which is why I was initially looking. My skin is now more even, moisturised, the texture is more refined, pores are shrinking and it just looks great. I can't wait to try some of Sunday Riley's other products they are well worth every penny.

meh.

I had such high hopes for this product but I feel for the prices this is a HUGE let down. Its sooooooooooo thick. I kid you not its like I'm pulling my skin just to apply this stuff! i tried heating it up ( by placing the glass bottle in some hot water) it did make the oil less viscous but still the difference was little. It does give you a nice glow but for the price i feel that my olive and Moroccan oil did the same job. Disappointing. Bottom line save your money, and invest in some good Moroccan oil instead.
