At first I thought AHA tonic everyday could be harsh on the skin but after the first use I could see it made such a difference to my skin, leaving it fresh and glowy. Definitely a staple in my skin care routine

Not for me sadly…
I really wanted to enjoy this product after seeing such rave reviews, but sadly it really irritated my skin and broke me out. I don’t have sensitive skin at all usually but this really irritated it. Sadly just not for me.

Fragrance on top of numerous essential oils!
I got this in the goody bag and was so excited to try it out. This toner is a 50/50 for me. It definitely made my skin glow but most importantly smoothed it out which I’ve only been able to achieve with the PTR Glycolic Acid moisturizer so obviously, I fell in love with this product. As another reviewer said, it sometimes gets a little foamy/soap-like and gets sticky sometimes but that’s doesn’t bother me too much. What does bother me is the amount of essential oils in this product and the fragrance. How come no one is pointing that out? I don’t need to know the exact percentage of each essential oil in this to know that altogether it is indeed a pretty high amount which has irritated and sensitized my skin significantly. I will use this till I finish it as I do enjoy the results a lot but the sensitization of my skin is not worth it and the smell is super potent. If I’m using this I can’t use any of my other actives like my retinol serums or lactic acid moisturizer so I end up having to choose on either this or my other actives. I do believe it dried out my skin too.

Tingling and redness… bare with it
I heard such good things about this so I was excited to try it. The first time I used it, it tingled and my face seemed to go really red. I was quite annoyed at first because I thought it was another product advertised as being suitable for sensitive skin. When I woke up in the morning my skin felt amazing and my redness and scarring seemed so much calmer. I used it again the following day as part of my nighttime routine and it’s having such a good effect on my skin. A few days in and my face is so calm!

Middle of the road for me
I got the 100ml bottle as a free sample and used it daily for the life of the bottle. It's okay, and I quite enjoyed it as part of my cleansing ritual, but it didn't do for me what it seems to have done for more exuberant commenters. The positive is that my usual small monthly breakouts were quite low key while I was using it, but they were still well within the bounds of normality, so not sure if that was a coincidence or the tonic. I didn't get a "glow". No one commented on any change in my skin, as seems to happen to so many commenters. It smells quite strong, goes on tacky, and sometimes turns a little foamy, like soap. At first, I didn't like this, but it does give you a sense that you are using something potent. As background information: this is the first time I have used any toner regularly, I'd say my skin was normal with some oily areas and not particularly sensitive, and I don't typically wear make-up. Perhaps if I did then this extra layer of chemical exfoliation would have had more of an impact.

Toner
Works great for glow but I find that it itches and is quite uncomfortable. So I use it in the evenings and just on my cheeks and forehead and that seems to have lessened the itchiness.
