The bed of nails has been used by Indian mystics for centuries in the practice of healing and meditation and now it's been re-invented with a Scandinavian twist to give you a whole range of benefits, from soothing sleeplessness and easing stress to helping you re-balance after a long haul flight, alleviating aches and pains and even restoring your skin's luminosity (the spikes help the body rid itself of toxins and increase blood flow, which gives you a healthy, lit-from-within glow).
The Bed of Nails Acupressure Pillow is covered with over 2,100 non-toxic plastic 'nails' that help release endorphins (the body's natural 'happy hormone') and oxytocin, to alleviate tension and leave you feeling calm and relaxed yet energised (you can be both at the same time)! The perfect way to lessen stubborn aches and pains, especially if you suffer from a stiff neck or knotted shoulders, this is also excellent for those who have trouble sleeping, easing you into a deep and restorative slumber.
The nails are made of 100% recycled non-toxic ABS plastic, the textile is cotton. The Bed of Nails should not be used in case of skin disease, haemophilia or the intake of anticoagulants.
For the latest information, it is recommended to review the ingredient list printed on the packaging of the product prior to usage or consumption.
Lay the Bed of Nails pillow on the floor or a mattress and slowly lower yourself onto it. Lay a sheet over the pillow until your skin gets used to the spikes. Initially lie on the Bed of Nails pillow for 10 - 15 mins, then build up to 20 - 30mins. Use as often as you need - preferably daily.
Don't be alarmed if your skin feels warm and tingly, and it's perfectly safe to fall asleep for a while. If you are uncertain, always consult your doctor. Keep away from children 5 years of age and younger
Leaning against it (rather than laying on top of the mat and pillow) is a lighter way to use Bed of Nails while you acclimatise (you put less weight on the spikes when you do). Place the mat/pillow at the back of your sofa, bed or armchair to experience the benefits while building up your tolerance.

Really nice product
This is a great product matching the mat. It does take a bit of getting use to. There are many cheaper versions available!!!!!!! I cannot comment on the comparison for quality etc. but if money is tight have a look around.

Pointless
Don’t waste your money feels nothing like acupuncture. Barely feels like anything when you lay on it, waste of money.

Surprisingly relaxing!
Unusually relaxing pillow to use under head/back, and I’ve found that my daughter with sensory needs also finds it instantly calming :)

Soothing
Odd feeling at first but then very warm and relaxing. Certainly relieves stressed out neck and shoulders.

Very good.
At first, I was a little more dubious of this than the BofN mat (which I liked pretty much instantly). I've found that you really have to get the right angle/distance on your neck - I personally prefer it to be quite intense. I feel like it technically hurts a bit less than the mat, actually, despite it feeling 'wrong' given that it's your neck! If you're into this kind of thing already, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
