Kate Somerville EradiKate Daily Foaming Cleanser Reviews

    Good but can be drying
On first impressions, the cleanser was great at breaking through makeup and getting rid of any impurities without over-drying or leaving residue. After a couple of weeks, I noticed inflammation and breakouts were reduced. However, I found that with consistent use (AM and PM) my skin became dry and irritated. While it is effective at balancing out an oily complexion, I'll only use it when I have a few breakouts that need calming.
    Too drying
I got this cleanser after suffering with constant breakouts between October - November last year. I used it daily and noticed that it really dried my skin out... I have quite sensitive but oily skin so this has never happened to me (apart from when using doctor prescribed spot treatment). After noticing that my skin around my chin was starting to flake I quickly stopped using this product. I then went for a facial in December (approx 3/4 weeks after I stopped using this cleanser) and my facialist commented on the fact that I was really dry and dehydrated around my skin. I hadn't even mentioned that I had tried a different cleanser but for whatever reason she noticed. I haven't touched this cleanser since and have pretty much a whole bottle left. I think it might have been OK if I had used it once per week, or maybe when suffering with a really bad breakout, but I think that using this as a daily cleanser could have actually had quite a bad effect on my skin. Obviously everyone's skin is different but for me this just didn't work.
    good
when I initially started to use it, it broke me out, but through continuous use my skin adjusted and in the long term actually helped to reduce the texture on my nose.
    The worst for me
I thought I'd try this cause I usually break out quite a bit, but I used this for a week and within the first day it broke me out. I thought maybe my skin was a bit congested so I gave it another go. After a few days, I noticed my skin went so dry and I got so many breakouts! So bad, I have stopped using it and my skin is so much better! I don't recommend this for sensitive skin! I prefer the glow cleanser so much more than this.
    EradiKate Perfection
This is the best cleanser for acne/breakouts prone skin. It does not dry out the skin, it is quite gentle on the eyes if you get there some by mistake, it helps clear and prevent the appearance of other breakouts. Although the packagin might seem small for the price, please trust me that a little goes a long way. I've been using mine for almost 6 months, AM/PM and I still have 25% of the bottle. This product is so good that I've already repurchased mine cause I don't want to run out of it.
    Perfect
This is one of my all-time favorite cleansers for my acne-prone sensitive skin. The sulfur in this formula is great for calming and preventing breakouts, and I like the creamy nourishing consistency as well. Doesn't over dry the skin but is still really effective at deep cleansing and purifying the pores. Highly recommended.
    Very impressed
I have mature skin with large pores and sporadic black heads. I was not sure about this product as it seemed specific for acne prone skin but I was desperate to find something which unblocked my pores particularly on my nose. This works! It doesn't dry out my skin and it feels smooth with the pores much less prominent and more importantly no longer blocked on and around my nose. Very happy!
    Amazing
Recently this summer, I started suffering from breakouts and ended up using a bunch of different products that only made my skin irritated. This stuff is amazing! the whipped texture foams easily and leaves my face feeling clean and not tight. I find that some cleansers that target acne can be very stripping and leave your skin feeling tight and dry. Eradikate leaves your skin feeling balanced and clean. After using it for a week, I saw a dramatic difference in my skin. As for the smell, I didn't find the sulphur smell that unpleasant. A good investment - if you're unsure, see if you can get a sample :)
    Seems good
My skin is really tricky at the moment and I've been using this cleanser for a while now and it's working better than most skin-clearing cleansers I've used in the past. I love the consistency and the container is very big for the price! And I like how it's see-through so you will know when it's time to repurchase. It's not drying and I feel like it's doing something!
    5 stars
I have mild to moderate acne and I think I was going through a particularly bad break out and feeling desperate when I purchased this. I instantly regretted it as I don't usually buy into "acne busting" products because 1) they don't work 2) they end up over drying your skin and doing more harm than good. However, this product has impressed me. My skin has cleared up significantly and it's somehow not drying at all, in fact it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I've had no new spots since using this. The smell is NOT pleasant, you can tell it contains sulpfur. But the texture is smooth and luxurious and the product works.
Great cleanser for oily, acne-prone skin!
I have sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin (bit complicated, I know) and I found this a great cleanser. It doesn't smell the best, but it lathers really well and a tiny bit goes a long way. It isn't drying and it didn't break me out at all. It helped to clear my skin more and I used it twice a day every day as part of my skincare routine.
    Effective Product
Cleanser is mild and effective in reducing acne.
    Made my acne worse
I have oily skin which is used to harsh chemicals but this face wash dried out my face so much and gave me more acne than I had first started with. I got it for Christmas but am now using the Mario Badescu acne facial cleanser which shows results in the first wash, I would recommend that rather than this for acne prone skin.
    Pretty Nice
Overall a pretty good cleanser that feels effective in use. For such an expensive cleanser, I was expecting a bit more. It didn't dry or irritate my skin which is nice considering this is geared towards oilier acneic skin types. I don't feel like this left my skin feeling squeaky clean and you probably need something else to remove makeup first. I can imagine it working for certain skin types but for my skin issues and mostly hormonal acne I'm not sure if it did much. Worth trying out if you're interested though!
    Does the opposite
This was a huge disappointment for me. Apparently, this cleanser is meant to help clear up spots while not drying out your skin. Not only did this cleanser dry my skin out to the point where it was felt as though it was cracking but it caused a hideous breakout. I do not normally react to products in this way, so I assume I might be allergic to one or more of the ingredients, but this cleanser was genuinely terrible for my skin. It also burned my eyes, and the pain would continue for a while after washing it out. I had to go to bed with streaming eyes. I can honestly say this is the worst cleanser I have ever used. If this works for your skin that's great, but if you have any sensitivities please don't use this cleanser.
    Love
I have dry skin but also suffer from hormonal breakouts, which together are a bit of a nightmare to manage. This cleanser has been my saviour and I love it! As the other reviewers say, it is so gentle but incredibly effective and not at all drying. I'm not bothered by the slight sulphur smell.
    Holy Grail
I have very oily skin that is very prone to acne, especially around my time of the month. It was really bringing my confidence down and then I came across this. This product has honestly cleared up my skin so beautifully I have been confident enough to go out bare faced. I've been using every morning for 2 months now and (not to jinx anything) but I have not had ANY spots since. If I could personally thank Kate Somerville, I would. This product is THAT amazing! I've just repurchased and don't regret it one bit!
    Love this
It's creamy, gentle, effective and leaves the skin plump, clean and balanced. It does leave a sulfur smell on the skin, which I dislike, but am willing to bear for the sake of the results. I also feel like this will last forever, good size.
    Lovely
This formula is so gentle, didn't make my skin feel dried out as most products that target acne prone skin types. my skin felt really clean after washing it, I really liked it.
