After working for some of the biggest names in beauty, trailblazing make up artist Danessa Myricks set out to create a brand that is multifunctional and inclusive of all ages, skin tones and genders. Her cult products combine beauty with artistry to deliver high-performance, ground-breaking looks you can achieve at home. Case in point: the Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder - aka your new secret weapon for an ultra-smooth, glowing complexion. Starring upsalite, a revolutionary Swedish ingredient, this unique formula adjusts its oil absorption to address your skin's specific needs throughout the day. Magic? It feels - and looks - like it.
Ready to meet your new dream base? The Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder does exactly what its name suggests, while drenching your skin in hydration and balancing oil production.
It's powered by hyaluronic acid and Swedish upsalite - a first-of-its kind, ultra-porous form of magnesium carbonate, which is twice as absorbent as talc, while also being a cleaner, more sustainable option. Olive-derived squalane is also key in this groundbreaking formula, supporting oil production and diminishing visible signs of ageing. Expect a petal-like texture that feels like a balm but sets like a powder, giving a long-lasting, shine-free look. Choose from 11 shades to find your perfect match.
Magnesium Carbonate, Isohexadecane, C13-15 Alkane, Isododecane, Dimethicone, Squalane, Synthetic Wax, Synthetic Candelilla Wax, Kaolin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Oil, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Oil, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Glyceryl Behenate, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Microcrystalline Wax/Cera Microcristallina/Cire Microcrystalline, Polyethylene, Stearoxy Dimethicone.

Love / Hate to the Extreme
I have honestly never had a product that I love and hate in quite so equal measure before. When this looks beautiful, it is the most gorgeous no makeup makeup. It blends beautifully and looks genuinely fantastic and holds your oils all day. Can I get it to do that every time? Absolutely not. Is there any logic to it? Not that I can find. I use the same prep (serum/moisturiser) every time, I use the same technique every time (beauty blender - I found the spoon or brush or hands to look horrendous), and I apply the same light layer. But sometimes it looks truly hideous, clumpy, lumpy, sinks into pores, like the worst early 00s makeup you've ever seen. I will use it up but only on days where I have an extra half hour just in case when it's on it looks hideous and I have to start my makeup again.

Good
This used to stop my face from being oily but for some reason, it kinda stopped working. This alone doesn't keep me oil free so I use it in conjunction with the Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Water Powder Serum. I do still get a bit oily even if I use them both but not as bad as before and I appreciate that it doesn't clog my pores.

not bad but not amazing
i’ve used this as a foundation a couple times now and it does the job - layers on nicely with the rest of my products, has medium/ light coverage, evens out my skin tone etc. Although it wears off throughout the day, i think it’s fine as a simple and easy everyday foundation.

Great silky primer- but no colour in the universal shade
I mistakenly thought that the universal shade had a tint. It doesn’t, but that’s my fault ! It’s a great primer but the universal shade does NOT have coverage! I like the unique ingredients too ❤️

Overrated
If you have perfect skin and don't like make up, it's great . It's beautiful on and it does blend well however, it last on me for about an hour , it would be perfect under make up or as a primer. I've mixed it with a foundation to get a more of a coverage for me however my skin doesn't like it.

Nice I think?
I’m not sure what’s the purpose of this product to be honest. I am a marketing victim clearly but it’s nice and creamy and a bit oily. I don’t have particularly oily skin but I put it on a t-zone and it does keep my make up on. However, I’m not sure if there’s a massive difference with and without it. But it feels nice and didn’t cause breakouts!
