Bottling a universe within each perfume and candle, each scent has a story for you to submerge yourself within. Breakfast Leipzig is no exception. Comforting, sophisticated and really quite delicious, the candle transports you back in time to the 18th century café in Leipzig where Bach wrote his famous Java Cantata.
Like the smoke-filled cafes of 1723’s bohemian Germany, D.S. & Durga’s Breakfast Leipzig Candle evokes the chatter of people sat in old leather chairs, breakfasting over buttery almond pastries, strong coffee and excellent conversation.
Encased in peach tinted glass with a monochrome illustration that captures quite perfectly the spirit of its scent, each of D.S. & Durga’s evocative candles is designed to look chic on your mantlepiece as it transports you to a moment in time. This light-hearted yet evocative scent melds top notes of coffee and almond, heart notes of tobacco leaf and butter and base notes of leather; it’s a scent that is both masculine and fresh — like nothing you’ve ever smelt before.
It is important to trim wick before each use. When using the candle for the first time, keep the candle alight until the entire surface is covered in liquid wax. This should take approximately one hour and will ensure a more effective, even burn for all future uses.

Reminds me of time spent in Germany
Lovely candle, really does remind me of my time spent in Germany - particularly in the winter months. It is a gourmand but the scent is complex enough that I think it would still appeal to those who generally avoid gourmand candles.

yummy warm fragrance
This is a delicious sweet, warming fragrance. It's not overpowering, but subtly hangs in the air. Not sweet like cakes sweet, but quite natural, maybe some coconut in there?
