AROMATHERAPY & ESSENTIAL OILS

Aromatherapy is the use of fragrant plant extracts and essential oils to influence mood and wellbeing, whether through scent alone or as part of a ritual like a bath or massage.

Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts. Aromatherapy oils may be pure, blended or pre-diluted, so it's worth checking whether your chosen formula is designed for diffusing, bathing or skin application before you use it.

Start with the fragrance families you're naturally drawn to, from fresh citrus to warm woods — the "right" scent is really the one that fits the mood you're trying to create. Our at-home spa guide has more ideas for setting the mood.
