World Vegan Day beauty edit by Sarina Munro

Cult Beauty devotee and beauty journalist, Sarina Munro, shares the best new beauty with a vegan-friendly ethos…

More and more brands are making the commitment to eliminate animal-derived ingredients and have more vegan choices. Too FacedREN, Indie Lee, skyn ICELAND and Tata Harper all have a great range of vegan beauty. Hourglass products – already free from parabens, sulphates and predominantly vegan – has also made a vow to be completely vegan by 2020, eliminating beeswax, lanolin and carmine from its range.

Hourglass {Ambient Lighting Edit – Volume 4} £69

This palette contains three of the buttery, ethereal illuminating powders that have become synonymous with the brand: Dim Light, Diffused Light and Euphoric Strobe Light. In addition, there is a bronzer and two blushers, housed in a limited edition pink case. It’s an absolute must have – I am so IN LOVE with this palette.

Too Faced {Better Than Sex Deluxe Ornament} £10

This amazing mascara, already a vegan-beauty staple in my make up bag, now comes in a deluxe size, set in a pink and gold Christmas tree! Perfect stocking filler or Secret Santa gift!

ZOEVA {Premiere Lip Crayon} £9.80

Finding a vegan-red pigment is notoriously difficult, as most reds use carmine (crushed beetle wings). ZOEVA’s lip crayon in Extreme Costumes is a vibrant red, inspired by the glamour of the 1920s.

Nudestix {Nudies Tinted Blur Stick} £28

These cream-to-powder sticks blur imperfections and smooth out skin tone. They are perfect to keep in your handbag for touch-ups throughout the day or when you’re on the go.

Vintner’s Daughter {Active Botanical Serum} £175

This powerhouse elixir is like rehab for the skin. It is full of nutrients and nourishment – a cocktail of 22 of the world’s most active organic botanicals. This multifunctional serum targets every skin complaint imaginable, from fine lines and wrinkles to pigmentation problems, loss of elasticity and dehydration. It penetrates deep into the skin to repair, replenish and regenerate.

Hourglass {Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Refillable Lipstick} £31

This award-winning lipstick (it scooped Harper’s Bazaar’s ‘Most Pigmented Lipstick’ award in 2017) comes in 30 shades, which includes reds, pinks, berries, nudes and mauves. This luscious lip formula is beautifully rich, saturated in colour, glides onto the lips and is creamy and long-wearing. Perfection.

REN {Love Gift Set (worth £48)} (worth £38)

REN’s multi award-winning Moroccan Rose range comes in a perfect gift set. The Moroccan Rose Otto Body Wash and Moroccan Rose Body Cream are formulated with one of the world’s most expensive and adored essential oils. This heavenly scented duo leaves the skin super soft and swathed in gentle luxury.

Tata Harper {Hydrating Floral Essence (oil-free moisturiser)} £59 for 50ml

Bursting with natural hyaluronic acid, this amazing face mist is multifunctional. I use mine as an oil-free moisturiser; it preps my skin before make-up application; I use it to set my make-up. And spritz it all over my face throughout the day – and sometimes at night – when my skin is worse for wear during the winter months. This face mist smells heavenly and is full of goodness.
