Beauty buzz: what’s multi-masking?
Which is why we're surprised that it's taken us so long to get here... Multi-masking is a trend going from strength to strength (quickly search #multimasking on {Instagram}), which - as the name quite snappily suggests - involves applying different masks to different patches in a bid to re-establish skin-quilibrium.
So far, so sensible? It really is that obvious. Congested nose? Apply a clay-based clarifying mask to draw impurities and un-clog pores. Hormonal breakout on your jawline? Use something calming to quell the resentful uprising (Aurelia's {Cell Revitalise Rose Mask} is brimming with redness-reducing probiotics).
As demonstrated by our gorgeous green-eyed victim, not only does this show your face your care ('At last! You listened!'), but also presents the perfect opportunity to pretend you're Picasso (and then immediately take a selfie).
Our model chose skyn ICELAND's {Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels}; 'the patches helped to de-puff bags post-flight and smooth out wrinkles which looked more pronounced after 2 hours in the moisture-sapping cabin atmosphere (followed by a full day of beach fun and fine, French grape juices).
She then applied Uma's {Absolute Anti Aging Face Mask} to regulate the sebum on her oily t-zone, draw out embedded impurities and help break up a spot party happening south of the mouth (SoMo). This mask is also phenomenally oxygenating, to kick-start sluggish skin cells and help take down inflammation.
Then Summer Friday's {Jet Lag Mask} was applied to cheeks and jawline - powerfully calming and conditioning, this potent, vitamin-rich mask brightens dullness and replenishes dry, depleted areas of skin.
Of course, this recipe's what worked for her skin on the day. Our complexions are consistently changing - weather, diet, lifestyle - all affect skin harmony, which is why (once you've worked out what it's craving) you can indulge it with a tailored treatment and in turn, prevent rebellion.
