NOVEMBER FAVOURITES
Apart from my snazzy new copper caddy (it's vintage #sorrynotsorry), November has been a month of skin care discovery and rekindled affairs with old flames.
Having cheated on {Molecule 01} with other (lesser) fragrances, I saw the error of my ways and rectified the situation. The 'Pied Piper' of perfume, this single-scent phenomenon is totally bewitching - it's musky and elusive and unique. And I almost wish I hadn't told you.
As you know by now, cleansers are my favourite, and this month saw me fall in love with two. I didn't think Grown Alchemist's {Gentle Gel Cleanser} would agree with me - gel isn't really my bag (unless we're talking 80s style Christopher Kane pencil cases) - but this delicately scented, lightly foaming formula works brilliantly with my {LUNA}, and leaves my cross, pillow-creased face feeling smooth, soft and 'fluffed up' each morning.
And May Lindstrom's {Clean Dirt} looks disconcertingly brown when its smeared on your visage (you know that bit in Sex and the City... Miranda, Brady and the forehead?!) but it smells like cinnamon and feels like an electric blanket (things get warm). Just mix a bit of powder with warm water, and use to purge and polish skin that's looking lacklustre – the glowing aftermath is well worth the momentary mess.
I had my hair lopped! My mum (clever lady) snipped off 6 inches, and to keep my newly cropped tresses in their blunt, glossy glory, I've been soaking them in Leonor Greyl's {L'Huile de Leonor Greyl} - a pre-shampoo treatment that resembles runny honey, and keeps strands sleek and shiny.
Sticking with the honey theme (interestingly, one of my MOST LOATHED foodstuffs) it's the key ingredient of Nuxe {Rêve de Miel} - a nutritive, matte lip balm that quickly rehabilitates winter-chapped pouts. With a delicate orange-blossom fragrance, it's reassuringly rich and instantly soothing. Perfect for keeping in coat pockets.
NEOM's {Real Luxury Travel Candle} is small but mighty. The clean, 'fresh linen' fragrance fills my microscopically small flat with the soothing scents of lavender and jasmine, and helps quickly quell my (inevitable) post-commute fury.
